We had a very pleasant stay. The quality and cleanliness of the facilities was excellent and the staff was very attentive. The only thing I would add would be to have a dish washing station for ease of food clean up for the tents. I have stayed at other KOAs with that accommodation and it was very beneficial. Thank you so much and we can't wait to return!

The cabin was really nice for the most part. However, there were a lot of ants, the floor was not washed from prior occupants & there were only 2 bowls for our family to share at breakfast. Almost every set of blinds had broken/missing pieces, & no spare trash bags for the kitchen trash can. Small things, but at almost $300/night you expect better. Otherwise we loved it & hope to return!

Whenever we asked for anything, paper towels (which were initially full of mold under the sink), towels, even for the firewood we paid for to be delivered they never were. We had to follow up 4 times for our firewood and at that point we ended up bringing them back to the cabin. We had to buy paper towels and went without the towels we asked for. Truly disappointing stay. We won’t be back.

Stayed in a cabin with my granddaughter. We had a wonderful time. The cabin was clean and well stocked in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable. We’ll be back next summer.

Great location right next to the beach! We enjoyed the private cabin and appreciated that the cabin and the beach are both dog-friendly. The cabin itself had a few minor maintenance or housekeeping issues -- lightbulbs missing or burned out, a couple wasps in the bathroom, ants in the kitchen -- but that sort of comes with the territory at a beach cabin. Otherwise great!

My family and I had the best time visiting the KOA. It was so much fun and accommodating. We loved how kid friendly it was for our little ones. The sunset over the beach was breath taking the first night we were there. I would definitely love to come back again another time.

I was very disappointed with the accommodations. The place we stayed in was dirty and rundown. This was my first experience at a kOA so I will be very leery about staying at another. That said, most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Extra room had dirty foot prints on the walls and on ceiling. Took a Lysol wipe and it wiped right off. Cleaning could be better :) Handle was broke on the stove and screen on front door was loose. Dirty wash rag from previous tenant was still in bath tub. Other than that, great location! Sunsets were absolutely gorgeous there!

Love the cabins. Great entertainment! Love the pools, playgrounds for kids, restaurant, store & beach. Always something to do & a great staff.. Have come there the last 3 years and hope to continue my visits.

Cabin 215 was very clean on our arrival and ready at check in! The ceiling fan in the bathroom was not there although the receptacle for it was; please replace soon. We also got to visit friends who stay in permanent sites and hope your KOA keeps a balance of permanent sites and cabin options. Attentive staff; the garbage pick up every morning; gift shop well stocked. We had a great week!

We stayed in a cabin for the week. The cabin was spotless and well maintained. We didn't have hot water the first night! There is a switch to turn it on, who woulda thunk???

Fun place to stay. Friendly staff, cabins are great have everything you need. i will certainly be back again. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is the cabin could have been a little cleaner.

Pool and restrooms were very dirty. Couldn’t even see your feet in the pool. Algae growing in the pool. The restrooms by pool were absolutely destroyed by mid day. Cabins were still nice but need cleaning. Porches need to be cleaned. Overall still enjoyed our stay just disappointed with the cleanliness compared to previous years

My cabin wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. The shower was dirty and had mold on the bottom wall behind the toilet as well as inside my shower at the circle drain part. My sheets that were placed at the end of the weren’t folded and you guys made me put them on the beds myself which I found very unprofessional. Had an amazing time, gem of a campground. My partner and two friends were here for the Reggae on the Bay charity event and had an amazing time. The accommodations were clean and well stocked, located close to the beach, pool and amenities. Our 13 year old puggle enjoyed the large dog park and the doggie beach, that was a bonus. Staff at the camp and Sunset Grill were awesome. Cant wait for more.

Our cabin didn’t have blinds, instead there were sheets ties on the blind brackets on the front windows. On our porch was a nice table, but only had two chairs. Holes in the screen of the front windows. Pans in kitchen needed to be replaced, broken utensils and very limited supplies. Getting fresh towels was an ordeal. Communication poor from staff, although they were pleasant. Not worth price!

I had the pleasure of having a "Girl's Trip" with my 2 besties last weekend and we stayed in the safari tent. I have never had a camping experience before and loved it! Yes, it was hot but, with the fans going it was good. We loved the beach and scenery. All the staff we encountered were great. We had fun participating in the activites. We laughed like we were kids again. Becca is awesome in Rec !

We stayed in a cabin. The bedroom floor was partically sunken in, major water stains on headboard, bedroom smelled of mold, moisture obsorber container on bedroom table, toilet seat broken, no bathroom stopper. No TV service in bedroom, living room TV connection barely worked, only one TV remote. No water in cabin for over 10 hours and no prior notification about water issue.

Location and overall structure are great! Employees are very friendly! I stayed in an old cabin that requires a deep cleaning urgently! The floors were very dirty… and also, there was not enough hot water for 3 people to take a shower in a roll.

Check in was easy and we didn't experience any problems during our stay (other than the toilet seat broke on our last morning). The easy access to the pool, beach and restaurant make this resort very appealing and we will definitely return.

Rude unqualified people at check in.AC did not work in cabin, water didn’t work at boat wash area, septic smell and rotten fish at cleaning station. Fireworks were cancelled. Asked for a discount and was told to contact a manager who was not in site.

I brought my two kids, my dog, and my husband last weekend for July 4th. We stayed in a Safari Tent for 6 nights. When we arrived our tent had trash, dirty socks, dirt, wrappers from the previous people, etc. Our sheets had stains on them. We cleaned everything up and asked for new sheets. The room floor was sanny,dirty, stove wasn't working had to go buy breakfast, blinds was broken in the room, had to hang a sheet so one cannot see thru,towels was disgusting it looked like someone rubbed mud on it, I had to go purchase towels for me and my family and rooms was not that good also. This was our first time, was not happy.

The cabin is nice. However My cabin was located at the end where the fish dumpster is . Had to deal with the bad smell the whole time. The dumpster needs to be moved far away from cabins . Also the main reason I came was for the fire work display. Never happened. Day of fire works in morning was told they have not arrived. We also had to deal with the sewer smell. Not pleasant!

We had a great time at Cape Charles! Was our first time and we definitely will return next year. The private beach was fantastic! I just wish it was clean. Front desk is great!

Restrooms were not kept up with, campground was loud after hours, and no water for 1 day without notification to campers. Close to beach, tent was awesome, not sure if I would give another try or not.

Staff were nice. The mattress cover had brown stuff on it. Picnic tables in bad shape at a lot of sites. Lots of trash scattered on the beaches. Main pool very nice. Bay clean for swimming. Pool for motel wasn’t ready and was green. Golf cart rentals expensive. Restaurant half finished and construction going on during our stay. Nice kayak and paddle board rentals.

The location is beautiful and the staff are friendly. The restaurant was great this year compared to last year. I would definitely recommend it. One day the jump pad did not open until early afternoon and the green swimming pool by the hotel should be maintained or removed.

We stayed in one of the cottages and the service was horrible. While everyone smiled and said "I will get that handled:, it was never handled. Cabin for rented saying 3 people, there was only one bath towel. We had to go to the office multiple times over the next 24 hours asking for more towels. There were only sheets on the queen bed, non provided for the other beds. Screen door screen broken

Friendly staff. Clean cabin, but not as advertised. I was disappointed that there was not an oven. We had packed meals assuming there would be an oven (based on all the pics online). We also did not have a bunk over a double. We had 3 small bunks. Not ideal for our sleeping situation. Again, not what is advertised. The 2 burner cooktop took a bit of figuring out to get it working. We made it work.

The bathrooms/showers were dirty most of the day. They need to be cleaned several times throughout the day for the amount of people staying at the campground. Also, the beach has a lot of natrual debris on it. We went down the road to the State Park and it was a beautiful beach. I preferred that beach over the KOA's beach area. We did love the Safari Tent!

Things seem to have gone down hill (this is our 6th or 7th year staying). Long waits at check in and out, renting golf cart, returning golf cart, etc. No beach rentals Sun-Thursday due to “not enough staff.” Long wait times at restaurant also due to “being short staffed.” Dirty cabin and no linens due to “being short staffed.” Everything at Cape Charles cost more this year, but not e

We loved our stay. The only thing I'd say needs to be fixed is that there isn't a change machine in the laundry room. It was very inconvenient, especially when we had to venture to the check-in area and that change machine was out of order. I'd also highly recommend the restaurant offering breakfast hours, I feel like they're missing a huge market for it. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Second time at Cape Charles KOA. This trip was a bad experience. Only gave it 2 stars because of the friendly staff and beach. Expensive price for a cabin when I had to go buy my own tub drain plug. Two TV's, but 1 remote. Minors under 16 driving golf carts recklessly. Extremely noisy campers. Two vehicles at campsites, could barely fit my car at my site. No enforcement of policies. No sleep.

The amenities, beach, etc were wonderful!We stayed in a sunset bluff cabin and it was not the cleanest we have stayed in for KOA. The cabin was lacking towels and garbage bags too considering we stayed several days not 1-2.
