The property was great but our room upon arrival was very dirty floors were dirty Cobb webs everywhere understandable outside but not inside. Mattress was absolutely disgusting luckily we brought our own covers to put between us and Mattress. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Don't think I would pay 125 a night again for that type of mattresses and cleanliness but love the property.

We enjoyed the stay we like to do what we call":Glamping"a cabin with a bathroom and TV,this time the dispenser in the shower was empty and the TV speaker was brokenso if we had wanted to watch TV we couldn't have, Loved being by the creek and having a nice fire. The cabin was clean and the bed very comfortable! Staff was very professional and helpful, they were not concerned with the small stuff

It was great. Only complaint is ladies in store were always on phone and would not wait on us. Once we finally just left without buying our items.

Roaches in our cabin #246, apparently they knew of them because Roach baits were under kitchen and bathroom sinks. KOA did try to fix the issue by spraying but this was an infestation. We had stayed in this cabin 5 times previously with no issues, seems they are now more interested in profit over safe guarding the customers from preventable issues.

It was good just the room had ants not to bad but they were there I love the cheerokee campground and will definitely be back.

Probably my favorite Campground. Dogs barking all the time and late night music kills the peace and quiet most people are looking for. A little more control on those ignorant people would be nice, but all in all it's a great place �

The cabin floors have been filthy, drops of water on the floor, wipe it up with paper towels, and they're almost black. Parts of the refrigerator are dirty. Lots and lots of spider webs inside and outside around the door. We leave early so you can clean it, but not happening. Bathroom toilets nasty too. Let down! So many employees not doing what's needed.

$15 dollars to tie-dye a shirt? The fire pit in our campsite wasn't level. Made it hard to keep hot dogs, or grease, from rolling into the fire while cooking on the provided grill grate. The cabin was adequate for our needs. A spring return on the screen door would be a nice touch. Our campsite only had 2 chairs with the provided table/chair setup. I guess other campers took our other 2 chai

We had a deluxe cabin on the river. Very comfortable. Loved the deck overlooking the water. Screened area would have been nice. No issues with bugs just like the barrier (just in case).

The cabin's floor was pretty dirty when we arrived and there was even a dirty sock from a previous camper under the bed. We did order the cheapest cabins available but expected it to be a bit cleaner inside. We did leave the cabin better than how we found it. Everything else was great.

We had several problems. The grill didn't work, bathroom door nob broke, shower handle didn't work properly, had limited silverware, pots were wore out tephalon coming off, wifi was bad, and got moved on location by computer they said. There were other issues but cabin was not up to basic standards. Love the concept, can see where lots of money been spent. But need to maintain the facilities even

I think we stayed in the shoulder season bc I noticed the college kids that are usually working there were not present. Which also means less staff & bathrooms were not as clean as they have been in previous visits. The food at the cafe was ok. The new outdoor pool is beautiful. I love the new tubing route, much longer than mingo falls drop off.

We had a blast. We brought our 4 kids ages 6-11 for a week and they all enjoyed the pool, fishing, the playground and riding their bikes making new friends. They also enjoyed the kids events the KOA hosted. Our cabin was cozy and the entire campground was very well maintained and had a very relaxed feel :) Super friendly staff too! I could go on forever about how much we enjoyed our stay!

Really enjoyed our stay. Updates to campground are fanastic, especially around the entrance and pool areas. My only complaint is the dust in the cabins. It would be great if the ceiling fan and a/c were dusted occasionally and the cobwebs in the corners were removed. Those small things make the cabins feel dirty.

The campground is not like it use to be. The bathrooms are so so, not kept up and wiped down. The prices in the store are astronomical, there is pay for convenience and then there is price gouging. We tried to have 2 cabins side by side, it would have been an additional $22, that’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s all about the $$ and not about the camping experience at all. Will not be going back!

First, the positive: the staff is super friendly and helpful, the amenities are wonderful (2 beautiful pools, delicious food at the poolside cafe, Hershey's ice cream, beautiful surroundings, and more! The negative: the deluxe cabin was not cleaned properly and needs physical attention. Bathroom smells of urine, I think the floor must be rotting underneath, dust on ceiling fan, etc.

This is the third time one of the staff was rude to either myself or my wife. I sort of tried to understand their position this time, but the staff member was curt in her response with ordering me to take action upon her command. After being rude, she accused me of being rude. We used to stay at this site 2-3 times a year. Cherokee KOA has lost our business forever.

Nice, quiet, and relaxing stay. Drawbacks were the jets on the hot tub were not working and the cabin while clean, had a very strong odor of urine. Maintenance came by Sunday evening and sprayed the floor with a disinfectant which helped and then I bought an air freshener that also helped. I would suggest that every inch of the floor be mopped with Lysol or similar product.

We camped at this KOA back in the 90s when it was privately owned. It was a place that hundreds of memories were made. When they sold out to corporate, it changed to an awful campground. Years later, I decided to give it another try. It has almost returned to its former magic. Cabin was clean & perfectly situated on the river. The bed was comfortable. Pool, cafe, bathhouses, amenities were great.

Overall, the stay was great. However, a little more silverware or dishes in the cabinets would be helpful. The staff was fantastic. Professional, friendly, and extremely polite.

Awesome time, spent with my brother. We had a good site on the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. The place was very clean The trout fishing was awesome. Will definitely be back soon

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.

The staff was very pleasant and the facilities were maintained well. There are plenty of things to entertain the kids with onsite, the fishing was good and location provided nice views. We definitely had a great time and certainly plan on returning!
