The property was very nice and you can’t beat the beautiful view from our deluxe 2 bedroom cabin but we had issues with no hot water in the shower. Someone came out to fix it but was told the barely like warm water was normal but others in our group had hot water in their showers. The cabin was not as clean as it could have been and we had issues with ants.

Very good stay - wonderful location. Of concern however is the ramp condition (wood rot and exposed hole that is a HAZARD) Also Unit 237 is missing siding and the wood studs and underlayment are exposed. Weather infiltration and critters have access to the exterior wall. We love this place HOWEVER Please take care of your wonderful facilities...237 is in need of major maintenance and repairs

We stayed in one of the two room cabins, wow. Wonderful, had all the amenities so we could cook, even watch TV if we wanted. A huge facility, well maintained, and right on the river. It was perfect. We had outdoor seating for a campfire, and any amenity you could possibly imagine. My only concern is that check in for a cabin is four pm, and the office closes at five, too short a window.

We traveled with adult friends we each had cabins side by side. Gorgeous river front views from the deck. Cabins were comfortable and comforts of home. We all enjoyed our stay and wish to have stayed longer. Will definitely return.

We come here every year for a yearly family camping trip. This time we were able to get a site side my side which was proven to be difficult in the past. We love this place!

I've been coming for 7 years now. The upgrade to the cabin and especially the heat in the camping cabin is huge. You are my favorite spot!! See you in the fall!

Rented two deluxe cabins on the river, 241 and 246 for our annual guys fishing trip. Both cabins were clean and well stocked. I watched a worker clean a cabin, it took an hour, so I know it's cleaned thoroughly. I believe it is under new management and I personally appreciate all they are doing to make my stay pleasant.

The cabin was very nice and clean. There were no curtains on the door like the other cabins. The heater in the bathroom did not work, but we were fine with the one heater near the bed. We enjoyed being so close to the river and fishing from the pond. The staff at the KOA is very nice and accomodating. We enjoyed our stay.

I came with a group and we had the BEST time! I loved every minute. Hiking, cooking outside, sitting around the fire pit sharing life and stories. Our cabin was great and very comfortable. Everyone we met was so nice and helpful. I have already told family and friends about Cherokee Great Smokies KOA I will be back!

Everything was great except for the hand soap being empty in the women's bathroom for the entire 3 days we were there. That was for the toilet side as well as the shower side.

We had a very hard time with our cabin neighbors and parking near the 249-254 cabins. There are no designated parking spots, clearly labeled for each cabin. It caused a huge deal with them as they all kept parking where we were directed to park by staff for our cabin. Please find a way to clearly label parking spots for these close cabins.

Every one went out of their way to help. My family and I had a great time. Just wish the store would open my eight for coffee and stay open longer so kids could get ice cream after dinner they were disappointed that the store was closed so early. And there was to many people saying bad words at the ponds to take kids need to put signs up to stop it or ask them to leave

We love koa. At other koas, the base cabin has heating and air. We did not get an escort to our cabin, my son took a cold shower due to hot water not working. The pool was down, the pool facility was not heated. Hot tube has no bubbles. Staff was not very friendly. We will not be going back to this KoA. We made the best of it, but compared to other koas, this was hands down the worst.

Loved it. The only down side were the cobwebs in the cabins and although the floors looked clean I do not think thay had been moped in awhile. From the time we checked in, our feet and or socks were really dirty just walking around.

We had a wonderful time. There was some mix up with what cabin we were supposed to be in but Kim in the office was so very nice and very helpful.. she went above and beyond to help us out with Everything.. I totally Appreciate her and all the staff at KOA … we will be back!!

The staff (check-in) is rude. Everyone telling you different stories. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Check ins are not efficient, they do not handle requests from customers. Kim is super rude & hateful. She does NOT need to be in customer service. Tammy over on the Fishing license counter was 100% awesome, friendly & helpful & needs a raise, working circles around other

The environment was good. The bathrooms were nasty, no soap in womens bathroom. Sock behind bunk bed, white Mold on wall behind bunk bed, floor nasty, spider webs in cabin. Talked to James about the problem and nothing was done. Strange people outside cabin first night that didn't stay there, The bathrooms were never cleaned right the whole time we was there.

Multiple problems with our cabin, asked to be switched and they had nothing available. So they told me that they could switch me to one one night and another the next night. We decided to leave, becase the power outage, holes in windows, broken windows, multiple problems with other guests. We were only refunded for the 2 days that we decided not to stay for. Nothing else.

It was a wonderful stay. Very clean & well-kempt. The campsite was the perfect combination with nature & the staff was very polite & helpful. I love that it is pet friendly as my dog loved his daily walks, the campers were friendly too. The only concern I have is that there were a few dogs off leash on their campsite that reacted to us walking and ran toward us. The owners got control thankfully.

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.

The staff was very pleasant and the facilities were maintained well. There are plenty of things to entertain the kids with onsite, the fishing was good and location provided nice views. We definitely had a great time and certainly plan on returning!
