Cabin needs some work

Disappointed with fishing tournament and how it was not advertised River only. I am handicapped and looked forward to fishing the ponds. Much safer for me. Kept getting emails to extend our trip but the desk could not over a site to extend on. Really like to to give kudo's to Cory and Lane for their help with a low air tire on my Motorhome. They made it safer for us. Thanks.

We have stayed at the Cherokee KOA every October for the past ten years. This year was probably the best I’ve ever seen the campground. The bathrooms needed some serious cleaning due to mold but hey, it’s a campground.

The bathroom closest to the front of the KOA ran out of hot water for showers one evening. Needed to walk to the other showers in the middle of KOA. But overall a great experience as always! It is our favorite KOA in the Smokies!!

Shower houses were nasty and had mold. Never had hot water. Thankfully we could shower in camper. We will come back but would like to see the bathhouses kept cleaner. Everyone was super nice and we had a great time!

We brought our grandson to KOA for Fall Break so he could experience the fun his Dad has here when he was growing up. He loved it!

Stay was awesome. Only suggestion to improve is require all golf cart drivers to be at least 16 years old even for private carts brought in. You are very family oriented and don’t want that to change. We saw several kids driving golf carts that were underage and had other small kids in it with no adults.

We love KOA Cherokee! We’ve been going for years & recommend it to everyone! This year we stayed in a Deluxe Cabin by the creek but fought roaches all weekend! I told 2 cleaning ladies but no one showed up to do anything. I finally had to go to the front office & they said they would send someone to spray. The guy showed up & handed me a can of roach spray to spray myself . Still saw them afte

The campground was nice. The store is great and the staff friendly. The restrooms and showers were poorly maintained - doors missing, no toilet paper, no shelf in showers. Our cabin was clean. We loved the area.

Super clean campground. Everyone was extremely nice and kid friendly. The weekend activities for the kids were amazing. The campsite we stayed was 138 very level and the puppy pin was worth every penny. Will be coming back

We had a great time. We didn't know all the Halloween activities would be taking place and our kids absolutely loved it! The only change I would suggest is to some of the Halloween decorations. We were particularly disturbed by two of the dolls by the pool house - one appeared to hanging from its neck and another girl had her mouth taped shut. The electric chair as also problematic.

If you have your own rv/camper/tent and children, awesome place to stay. Plenty of activities. But if you stay in a cabin, not very clean. And I texted and called to report the shower is stopped up. Nobody came or contacted me or answered phone about it. Also I got a cabin on the so called river. It is more of a dried up creek. That was very disappointing. 5 stars for the children.

The cabin was full of cockroaches. The heat was malfunctioning. The drains wouldn't drain and they had to snake a BUNCH of slimy hair out of them. There was mold on the ceiling and wall. The smell in the cabin was terrible.

Well we love that place. The only thing about this stay we didn’t like was paying for a trout fishing tournament an them telling us they would be stocking the river not the the pond with tagged fish. Talk to someone there asked if anyone caught anything an was told they didn’t stock due to weather. So felt ripped off should have refunded everyone

We stay every year with our chow chow people. Always a great get away. Your staff is unbelievable! Kuddos to such nice, friendly and helpful people. We try very hard to keep things caught up and not leave a nasty mess. The cabin is perfect and the deck is so nice to hangout and relax. So many things to do there and all around. Your staff does a great job with the Halloween decor.

We have stayed at Cherokee KOA MANY times. We normally love the stay. This trip the bathhouse was not clean at all. The toilet paper holders were broke and laying in the floor for days. The door was off the hinge. We tried calling before our trip to ask questions and the staff wouldn’t answer multiple calls. Finally, after waiting 16 minutes they answered. Very disappointed this trip.

Stay was great, we love this campground, the people and the atmosphere. Only thing I would suggest is making your RV sites cleaner and neater. Grass and weeds have been high on each of our stays (3 times) this year.

We had a great time with our son and grandson. Plenty activities, the only complaint I had was the activity sheet we were given were not accurate and the staff was not always knowledgeable about activities.

We enjoyed the cleanliness of the entire camp ground. The activities for the kids went on all day for a weekend packed full of fun. We will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay while camping for the week. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The campground is placed in a beautiful location on the Raven Fork River. The only negative thing I would have to say about our stay would be the bathhouses needs some maintenance and TLC to the showers and bath stalls. Several stalls would not lock and the showers need updated.

We had a good time however there are some things that need to be addressed. We stayed there about 5 years ago and somethings have gone down hill: 1. Cabins need repaired and some TLC the dishes were chipped and not all there 2. The indoor pool and hot tub was so dirty it needed cleaning we didn’t go in it because of the black slime on the side 3. The store needed more employees to assist

Staff was very friendly, the grounds were neat & clean. The bathrooms were pretty tidy to be communal. Loved the hot tub, was my 1st camping experience & im ready for another!

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.

The staff was very pleasant and the facilities were maintained well. There are plenty of things to entertain the kids with onsite, the fishing was good and location provided nice views. We definitely had a great time and certainly plan on returning!
