Good campground. We were in a camp cabin by the river and really enjoyed the view. The bath house could have been cleaner and better kept t and needs a upgrade.

The cabin was not clean when we arrived (messy floor, a muddy footprint on the couch, dirty toilet). We don't expect immaculate while glamping but the issues were unsanitary. The facilities were great. The staff were kind and helpful. Halloween activities were a highlight! My son was there on his "wish trip" and it was everything he asked for...relaxing, swimming, campfires, etc. THANK YOU!

We stayed two nights along the river and had a wonderful time. All the campers that decorated for HaLLOWEEN made the stay extra special as well as all the decorations the campground had in place. The showers were clean and the location was close to all the spots we wanted to visit in the area.

You went above and beyond to make a great Halloween weekend! Girls in the office were so helpful giving directions! If we come this away again you will be our stop!

Loved everything about except not being able to fish in the ponds this year, very disappointed with that.

It was hard to get anyone to answer the phone. We needed extra toliet paper and there was no body gel in the dispensors. We asked at the front desk but was told they needed to put it in writing. We never got it. The cabin we were in needed some updating .. the lights on the bedframe did not work on both beds and the shower curtain was nasty. Other than that it was good.

This would have been the best camping trip yet but the bath houses were absolutely disgusting. Only 1 toilet with a door at the bathhouse closest to sites 137, and that toilet stayed filthy. Other than the bath house issues our trip was very enjoyable.

We enjoyed the Halloween themed stuff that was planned. However our cabin left much to be desired. Shower was not cleaned prior, hair/dirt in the shower and hair on the bathroom floor. Additionally, shower did not drain. You were left standing in 2-3 inches of water. I had to stop my shower several times to let water drain enough so the pan didn’t overflow. Shower curtain was molded as well.

We've been coming for the Halloween holiday for the past 6 years. The major complaint I have is the cleanliness of the restrooms/showers. Not once during our entire stay were the bathrooms cleaned. The 1 shower I did take, the drain wouldn't drain so I was left standing in bathwater while trying to get clean. Bathrooms were disgusting and worse than any other of our past 5 years of staying.

We had a great time and the campground was packed. It was a wonderful weekend with the family and the second time we have been to your campground. My only issue was the bath houses were not as clean as they have been in the past. I did notice that it seemed all hands on deck doing the Halloween stuff, but with a full campground, more attention to the bath hourses would have been a little better.

Once again we had a great time. The Halloween celebration was amazing. Loved seeing all the costumes & giving out treats to the children. Definitely want to do it again next year !!

We always have a great time and enjoy the Halloween themed weekends! It’s one of our family’s favorite places to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful and the cabin is perfect for a long weekend.

The Cherokee KOA has great amenities, great location and friendly staff. I was disappointed this stay because the trout ponds are no longer being stocked and the staff member who sold us our fishing licenses didn't tell us that until after our purchase was made. My only other complaint is that the bathrooms have mildew growing on the walls and ceilings, which is the case EVERY time we stay.

This park does a great job with Halloween events. This was my 3rd year attending for Halloween & I had the nicest site this year, with a concrete pad (previously just grass/mud). You never know what you'll get because this park doesn't guarantee a specific site# with your reservation - you have to pay $20 EXTRA to know your site# in advance! I ended up far from my friends, which was disappointing.

This is a great campground. It’s very large and quiet. Has 2 pools inside and out, it’s close to Blueridge Mt entrance and Smokey Mt park. It’s a beautiful camp ground. Very friendly staff.

Not worth the money, AC didn't work, loud drunk campers on all sides smoking weed. For what it cost a night you can stay 5 star hotel.

Everything was excellent. The bathhouses needed more attention. Wasn’t cleaned regularly, toilet paper, or shower fixtures broken.

Loved the location, in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. Campground decorations for Halloween were awesome. Campground facilities were very clean and staff was friendly. Would definitely stay again when we revisit the area.

Not the first time renting a KOA cabin. We were very disappointed re: the lack of cleanliness: Big cobwebs, visible dust & dirt in kitchen cabinets & top of the frig, 1/4 “ dust on most window frames, windows dirty. Cabin walls looked old and tired, suggesting old water damage. First inside was musty as could be. Decided could not entertain our friends there. Feel free to call - we have pics.

Check in was very easy. Our site had an awesome shelter, tent pad, fire ring and table. Having electricity in the fall is a plus so we could have some heat in our tent and charge those awful phones. Our site was near the bathhouse and way to close to a very noisy hwy. The highway, which is 2 lane is very busy and the vehicles were very loud. The store closes at 5 pm. Very clean. Best there.

We really enjoyed our stay...........appreciate the effort at keeping the campground clean and welcoming, it is appreciated and noticed. One suggestion is to check the propane tank on the grill as part of the process for prepping the next occupant. It's just one less thing to follow up with at the office when you find out the tank is empty. You have a beautiful facility, please keep it up!

The sofa sleeper was filthy dirty when opened up. The sheets from the last person were still on the bed and dirty. They were also wet. The mattress slept horribly. Koa should figure out a different sofa to put there that sleeps better. The mattress on the queen bed was terrible. I woke at 4 every morning with my back killing me. Surely there is a better grade mattress that could be used.

Great location. Our site was level and everything worked. Internet was spotty. I did get lost a couple of times while I was walking the dog, it’s a large campground. Also very kid friendly!

We stayed in a cabin right on the river, such a beautiful place. Let me tell you, we were leaving at 4AM to go home. We locked the cabin and dropped the key at the office went to get in the car and realized we left one cell phone locked in the cabin. OMG, we called the emergency number and they were there to unlock the cabin in less than 10 minutes. They go over and beyond for there visitors.

It was nicely decorated for Halloween. The hot tub didn't work the first day, but it got fixed and was really nice. I wish there were bathroom & changing area in the pool/hot area. The bathrooms outside the pool area were very dirty. I mentioned to the girl in the office 2 times about the poop stuck in the toilet and paper all over the floor but it was never cleaned.

no directions for fireplace, no curtin/blind on door, no response to email before arriving, not able to get a human on the phone prior to arrival, no dishcloth (had to use washcloth from the bathroom, screen door did not shut tight and had holes/rips in screen.

Upon checking in ( at 4pm ), I was told my cabin wasn’t ready. I waited thirty mins and checked again. Cabin still wasn’t ready. I waited another 30 mins I inquired again. The lady I asked started to close down her drawer and completely ignored me. I asked her boss and she said it was not ready still. This lady said she’d put me in a cabin for the night and move me the next day. I said no.

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.

The staff was very pleasant and the facilities were maintained well. There are plenty of things to entertain the kids with onsite, the fishing was good and location provided nice views. We definitely had a great time and certainly plan on returning!
