Tennessee Aquarium - Chattanooga

Feel the spray of a cascading waterfall. Experience the seasons of a lush mountain forest where river otters play. Stand eye-to-eye with hulking sixty-five pound catfish patrolling the depths of the Tennessee River. Explore the Amazon River where piranhas dart among anaconda and boa constrictors. Listen to the birds in the mist-shrouded Delta. Freshwater sustains all life on earth, yet we know so little about this magical and complex world of swamps, streams, lake, and bogs. This is one of the world's largest aquariums, and the only one to reveal in such stunning detail the fascinating web of life supported by freshwater.

Tennessee Valley Railroad - Chattanooga

The "Golden Age" of American railroading lasted for about fifty years during which time rail empires were built, two world wars were fought and frequent passenger trains rolled almost everywhere. The Tennessee Valley Railroad was founded in 1969 by a small group of rail fans determined to preserve operating steam passenger trains. You are invited to ride the train, see the audio visual show, browse through our exhibits, tour the repair shop, enjoy the dining room and explore our gift shops.
