We had a great stay at the KOA in Charlottesville and look forward to staying there again this fall.

Further away from town than we would have liked . Sites for big rigs like ours (pull thru) could use some trees very bare compared to smaller sites. There was a nice trail to walk in park . Probably would not choose again due to size of our rig at 45 ft.

Staff was accommodating although somewhat pretentiously rude and condescending. Having to pay $5 per day per visitor is a little overboard and greedy, especially after having to pay $70 per night for a camp site. I was charged $20 for 4 nights/3 days for a visitor that visited any where from 2 hours to no more than three each day, as we were usually gone most of the days.

Awesome park in every way: loved the wooded privacy of the sites that were so carefully designed. Loved the clean, modern bathrooms. Loved the strong, reliable WIFI and loved how well and uniquely stocked the store was. I wish we could have stayed much, much longer.

This was my best KOA experience ever. Close to Monticello and not far from the National Park. Loved the quiet of this place and the space between sites and the woods!

We LOVED our 3 day stay here! It starts with meeting Lisa in the office, then on to a peaceful, secluded site. The individual bathrooms are awesome, as is the laundry and the .5 mile nature walk. Many pull thru sites are sideways to the road. This KOA is for those that want the peace & serenity in a woodland setting without being tightly lined up together, & loved there is minimal light pollution!

I think we got there ahead of the season so this might not be accurate of normal season. Bathrooms were immaculate! Game room mostly functional pinball out of service; might want to get a couple of more. Need to update laundry price signage to reflect correct prices. Need a big sign for the front of your gaming and laundry picnic building. Might get a meal concession truck for weekend breakfast

It was ok but nothing stood out. Sites were primarily just gravel with little in the way of grass. Felt like I was just camped in a parking lot. It would be fine for an overnight between two destinations but it is not a place I would stay again for any extended period.

It was a nice quiet stay. We were testing out our new used Phoenix Cruiser and thought it was close and would give us an idea of what works and what doesn’t when we use it. It was also my grandson’s birthday and he was thrilled that we, my son and him, were the first to spend the night in it. As a note, we walked a trail and a tree had fallen across the path. We informed the desk clerk.

Good place if you plan to stay a while. Off the beaten path. Only stayed overnight. Pool was closed. Staff very friendly.

The staff was very friendly, and helpful when we had questions. The restrooms were beautiful, and spotless! The laundry room and the rec center were very nice as well. Our site was great. The winding roads getting to it were a little bit of a concern, mainly for the passenger.�

I thought the employees were nice and helpful. I liked the big bag of firewood. I loved how quiet it is during the week. No road noise just the birds singing.

The campground is nice. We have stayed there several times. The only problem we had was the cable in lot J is fuzzy. We stayed at another campground the night before and it was fine. We will stay here again

So convenient to all three president's places I got to see. My spot was great and the showers were the cleanest and nicest yet. Staff very helpful and store had just enough extra things I could use.

The campground seems a little run down. There has not been any improvements that are noticeable in a long time. Everything works for the utilities, however, there are only 16 cable channels. Everything seems to be overgrown. Some site have more weeds than gravel I think if they do some upkeep and spruce things up it would look a whole lot better.

Customer service was great. My only complaint was that spot #27 is a horrible location. There is a huge tree trunk that is hard to see and the actual dump location was up hill from how the RV sits. Being in a class A makes it hard to dump. Other than that, it was great.

Enjoyed the stay - small, remote and quiet. This is why I recommend it. Campground needs issues addressed. 1 No lights so walking at night was dangerous. 2 Weeds were growing into bushes on the sites. 3 Barbed wire around the closed pool (confusing/intimidating). 4 Walking path was overgrown 5 Pond was stagnant. Maintenance would do wonders. Great attraction in the surrounding area

Stayed May 7-9; site 2. A very nice, secluded, mature trees campground. Facilities are fine and the office building restrooms are very good. Our site was nice, roomy and level. I will say that it gets very dark at night, so if you walk a dog at night make sure you have a bright flashlight.

This was the worst KOA we’ve stayed at. Surprised it was a KOA to be honest. The grounds are very unkept. The Wi-Fi and cell service was bad. The exit is dangerous. It comes out at the bottom of a downward curve making it impossible to see oncoming traffic. My wife started walking up the road to check for oncoming traffic. She was able to stop 3 cars from hitting me and causing a pileup.

The location for the historic sightseeing we wanted to do was perfect. We have a 34 ft travel trailer and turning into the KOA was a little tight so go slow and wide as the turn comes up .We had a pull through, the site was very level . The people running the campground were very nice and helpful . We had a great time

Very nice, clean, well maintained KOA. We stayed in a pull through where smaller trailers and cabs were, it was wooded with spectacular trees and quite private. There was an area that was very nice for bigger rigs. Dog yard was small but clean and nice. Bathrooms were very nice. Poison ivy all around so be careful.

This KOA is off the beaten path which was nice as it was quiet and remote. The folks that run it are a nice family. They are putting a lot of work into it with the addition of several new sites. Nothing fancy to speak of here, but was a great stay for seeing the Charlottesville area. The road in is two lane and a bit winding but our duelly and 39' fifth wheel made it just fine. Be advised there is bridge construction on a google route that is narrow and tight turn. The office advised us of how to avoid it. Happy trails.

We had a two day stay here in early April. The bathroom facilities were immaculately, clean, and private. My kids state that this was the best campground they've ever stayed at. The staff was extremely thorough and friendly. Prices at the general store were excellent. They also have a propane filling station, which is a nice plus. Would definitely recommend and give five stars. PS. There is an awesome nature, hike and pet trail.
