We’ve stayed here for several years on our way to Florida. Always thought they were in process of improving. We were wrong! Potholes, rough road, poor access, sharp turns. We’re not coming back!

Easy in and out - good service at checking however the road and sites need lots of work. Very rough going back back what little paved road they have and the area surrounding the sites are red clay/dirt which makes it extremely dirty and horrendous when it rains - shoes need taken off in the rain before going into camper unless you want to track red mud inside!

Great area, very nice staff, clean, close to interstate and shopping. My only negative was the roads in the campground. Wayyyyy too bumpy for big rigs. The 5 mph speed limit was too fast! Other than that it would have gotten 5 stars.

Older facility. A little pricey for overnight stay. Loves RV has better facilities for overnighters at half the price with electricity, water and sewer on cement pad with fenced in dog park. Plus Loves has fuel and food and showers and toilets if you need them.

This is convenient but road and plane noise is loud. The store is quite limited but you can walk next door to Publix.

sites are not level, roads are rutted, sites are unkempt, wifi was awful. poor conditions. hard to believe it is a koa.

We stayed in a cabin and friends had an RV. The cabin was pretty well stocked and comfortable. Heat worked as did the shower. However the WiFi was terrible. The campground itself was small and unattractive. For a busy area it was quiet. But not much to recommend it except its closeness to the highway and Caroways.

A well-run, very useful way station. Excellent bath facilities; fine staff. Convenient to a grocery store and some restaurants. Just not a "destination" campground: roads are a little shopworn, some sites not particularly level, quite a few long-term residents.

I am so glad I decided to try this cabin instead of a hotel room! I just needed a bed & shower while traveling south & this was perfect. Had dinner after I arrived, watched a little TV, went to bed and took shower in the morning to be on the road again in the am. The hosts were great, giving me the key & map and very helpful in the morning too when I had to return to get something I forgot.

The staff was friendly enough at check in. Our site was freshly graded which left it very dusty, not many people Went the speed Limit which caused dust flying everywhere. It was only for one night so we didn’t complain. They had several other sites that were in much better condition than the one they put us in so not sure why they put us there. Lots of open sites. Horrible. Staff called as we were enroute demanding we hurry as they wanted to close early. It was 3:30 pm and office closed at 7. We arrived at 6 and 4 other rigs arrived after us! Sites are muddy, uneven and they do NOT have Hunt Brothers Pizza! Can't believe this dump is a KOA

The rating would be higher if the roads were better maintained. Having said that the sites were clean and everthing was in good working order. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay again. Please grade the roads�

Great for our one night stay enroute to Florida. Basic "Journey" KOA but all we needed. There is a Publix next door and a liquor store too. Publix let us bring their cart to the campground to unload, and of course we returned it. Friendly staff.

Wet weather has not helped the look of the place. Nevertheless its general appearance is a place that is not well looked after. Way too much dog poop left uncollected everywhere and the permanent sites are very poorly maintained. We had been there several years ago and were looking forward to our return. We are very disappointed.

The campground is in transition and is currently being worked on. I can see the improvements to the playground and other areas. The spaces need work and they do have wifi but it is unusable. I am disappointed with the wifi not being able to connect. I was told if I had an antenna I could scan for channels and no cable option.

We had an overnight stay while traveling and everything was great. Wonderful hot showers and the restrooms were very clean. We'd use this KOA again.

We just stayed 1 night. Pull through site was close to entrance and bath house. Everything was clean and stone pad was very level. We were satisfied.

Conveniently located as we were touring Charlotte NC. Small but amazingly clean, restrooms looked brand new. Staff was friendly & helpful. If I had a complain-we were rained out one whole day and our site was flooded - clay, mud and water standing. NOT the park's fault, I understand, but there were other sites that were paved & not being used - why weren't we given one of those to state with?

Large back-in sites with trees. Super convenient. Nice people. Food truck hamburgers next door are great and you can walk to Publix. WiFi is much improved and lots of OTA tv channels. Surprised this is not a KOA holiday.

Great location and tremendous assistance by the camp staff to get us hooked up and set at our spot. Met all expectations while overcoming some construction and other guest challenges. Campground facilities clean and well maintained. Campground could use some additional internal signage but once utility construction is complete. Thanks for a great stay!

Needed a last minute place for overnight , stay off the hwy . Called , booked cabin with ease . Customer service amazing ! Late midnight check in also! Main bathrooms absolutely spotless ! And enormous ! Would def recommend KOA to travel

John's Place is a great bar for bikers and music lovers. Their friendly atmosphere and service is superb. If you just want to shoot some pool or hang on their large patio, you got it. Food is also available through an on site vendor. All in all, this place is a 10 in terms of fun relaxation and to hang with friends whilst out on a bike ride. Enjoy.
