KOA grounds are my primary choice

Stayed here B4. Disappointed this time. Stray cats. And I travel with 2 so I am a cat fan. Loose dogs..oh they're friendly. Litter around dog park.actually saw workers bring collected bagged trash to dumpsters and throw.it.into Dumpsters but drive away leaving the litter that was laying around as.it was.

Overpriced. It in a mobile home development which I didn’t care for. Also the place is outdated and needs upgrading. TV reception was poor.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The campground was neat and clean. It was a windy day when we pulled in and the staff was picking up overturned garbage. When we requested a fire pit one was delivered quickly. Excellent.

Our stay at KOA Charleston - Holiday was GREAT! The staff was very helpful and gracious, and the facility and grounds were very clean and very up-to-date. We hosted a cookout and play day with our grandkids who live in the area and they thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the KOA campground. Wish we had found this GEM earlier. This hidden GEM is close to I-26 and we’ll definitely staying again

Worst KOA I ever stayed at. Share pool and laundry with non KOA campers. There is large trailer park right next door, residents appear use KOA facilities (laundry, pool). Gameroom was locked for our three day stay. Feral cats abound. They do not deliver firewood, I was told by staff 'we don't do thar'. At least police patrolled KOA at night saw them several times

We stayed here for a week while visiting Charleston. Close to Charleston. Level Sites, good wifi, good sewer and water connections. Trash pick up. Friendly staff. Nice pool, no hot tub though. Buildings were very dated and needed repair. The rec room was falling apart it seems and was locked most of the time. The landscaping needs a lot of attention here. Overgrown grass everywhere.

The staff was very nice, but it's NOT a very nice park. It really needs sprucing up. The cable didn't work & road noise from Hwy. 78. It's fine for an overnight stay, that's all.

The staff were helpful and polite. We had a nice stay, had to leave a day early due to water damage at our home from a storm on Sunday night. Despite having to leave early we were slightly uncomfortable with so many campers that pulled in on Sunday afternoon as in the area that we were in the sites are very close together while the other side of the campground had several empty sites available.

We liked the campground and the spot was large enough to fit our 40 foot motorhome but we had trouble leaving our pull thru site due to a power box in the camp spot. We would stay here again when visiting Charleston but would probably ask for a different pull thru due to the issue trying to get out of the campsite.

Clean and well-kept campground. Great location in close proximity to Charleston and its beaches. Loved that staff lead us to our site, and picked up each campsite's trash daily. Will be staying again.

Worst campground we have ever used, first space we were assigned was uneven, next one was slightly better. Grass is un mowed and mostly weeds. Cats everywhere.We are so glad we did not renew our rewards account since we will never use another KOA. By contrast we stayed at a couple of military base campgrounds for way less money and great facilities. Cabelas and Walmart have never looked better.

The grounds were not mowed or weed wacked. There were feral cats walking around. These cats were spraying campers belongings and getting in trash.

This campground served our purpose, as we were tourists visiting Charleston. The spots are small and need some updating. We brought so much dirt and sand into our home every time we went in and out. Some mowing and/or weed whacking could improve the ground’s appearance. We did not use the fire ring but it had some trash in it. It could use some updating and clean up.

Nice campground, quiet, clean and comfortable. Only negative was the water was turned off for a few hours to repair a leak without notice to the campers. Easy access, some rigs did have a squeeze to fit into their assigned site.

Very accommodating staff. Met Jordan who was really pleasant and helpful. NIce campground and close to local restaurants, gas, shops, etc. GPS made it a bit confusing to access, but was okay. Need 30-45 minutes to drive into Charleston. Would return.

We found that this KOA was much better than some we have stayed at. Easy location and loved our pull thru site. Only complaint was the park turned the water off in the morning to fix a plumbing problem but didn't notify anyone. Caught me in the shower!

Nice two day stop, well placed to visit the Charleston downtown historical region. Pool water was a little cold.

The grounds were as nice as to be expected. We loved the dog enclosure, and the pool, and the bathrooms were very clean. The water pressure was minimal in the shower but overall, it was a top-notch campground and we'd definitely stay again. We'd hoped to stay longer but plans changed at the last minute and we were so grateful to receive a partial refund.

Relatively clean They let neighboring trailer park people use their Landry facilities on the wknd so makes it hard for campers to use at that time Dog park is not very nice area

This was a very convenient location to Charleston with many eateries near by. Staff was super nice on check in! Downsides are spaces are close and for big rigs not exactly easy to get out of your space.
