General Campground Information

Pet Policy

Many visitors enjoy sharing the pleasures of camping with their dogs or cats. To ensure that all guests have a safe and enjoyable experience, please ensure your pet remains on  a leash at all times in the park. Pets are welcome in our K9 camp where they can run and play off leash.
  • Dogs must be kept on leashes no longer than 6 feet when outside their owners' vehicles or rental units. Do not leave a tethered dog unattended. 
  • Please ensure you always clean up after your pet. 
  • Dogs of any breed that are hostile or aggressive will be asked to leave the campground, along with their owners. 
  • Constant barking bothers other campers. If your pet is too vocal, you'll need to find other accommodations.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel your reservation, please call 902-963-2079 or 1-800-562-1879 before the deadlines listed below to receive your deposit refund, minus a $10 cancelation fee. Text and email notifications of cancelations are not acceptable.

  • RV & Tent Sites: 48 hours cancellation notice is required. Notify Cavendish KOA by 4 p.m. two days before your scheduled arrival.
  • Camping Cabins: 7 days cancellation notice required. Please notify Cavendish KOA one week before your scheduled arrival.
  • Deluxe Cabins and Trailer Rentals: 14 days cancellation notice required. Please notify Cavendish KOA two weeks before your scheduled arrival.
  • Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.
  • Cancellations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of all deposits.
  • No Show reservations will FORFEIT your deposit and your reservation will be forfeited.
  • Reservations are not transferable without campground approval.

Check-in and Check-out times

Check-in time for tenting and trailer sites is 2 pm. 
Check-in time for our accommodations, including our Rental Trailers, Camping Cabins, and Deluxe Cabins is 3 pm.  
  • Early check-in is not guaranteed and is dependent on availability. Fees apply.

Check-out time for all sites is 11 am.
  • If you are still on site past check-out time, you will be charged for an additional day.

Family-friendly Atmosphere

We ask guests to be respectful of their neighbours and others at all times.
  • Our quiet hours are between the hours of 10 pm until 7 am.
  • All public areas of the campground are closed at 10 pm and children should be back at their site and under adult supervision. At 11 pm, while you are welcome to continue a campfire, noise must be kept to a minimum.
  • If you must enter or exit the campground during quiet hours, please be respectful of those around you.

Respect the rights and privacy of other campers. Do not walk or cut through other sites; use roadways.

Holidays and Special Events

Holidays and Special Events may have special deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Special conditions may apply during high-demand periods and special events.
  • There is a 2-night minimum stay between September 13th - 15th, 2024, due to a special event. All cancellations are subject to a minimal service fee of $50.00 for these dates. Cancellation deadline for these dates to receive a refund less the $50.00 service fee will be May 1st, 2024. After May 1st, the full deposit will be retained.
  • There is a 5-night minimum stay between July 5th - 10th, 2024, due to a special event. A deposit equal to the five-night minimum is required. All cancellations are subject to a minimum service fee of $75.00 for these dates. Cancellation deadline for these dates to receive a refund less the $75.00 service fee will be May 1st, 2024. After May 1st, the full deposit will be retained.

Store hours

During our off-season, the store is open from 8am-6pm daily. 
During our high-season, the store is open from 8am-10pm daily.

Pool

There is NO lifeguard on duty. Children under 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Visitor policy

Visitors are welcome!
All visitors must check in at the store to fill out a visitor pass and receive a visitor car pass. Visitors must park in the front parking lot and walk down to the site. 
  • All visitors must be registered at the office. 
  • Visitors may be subject to day use fees.      
  • Additional fees are applicable to adult guests staying on site over the included 2 adults.
  • Visitors may be subject to additional day use fees on special event weekends. 

Reservation Deposits

To guarantee your campsite, a deposit equal to at least your first night will be charged to your credit card at the time you make your reservation.
For our Cabins, a deposit of $150 is required,  and for our Deluxe Cabins and RV rentals, a deposit of $300 is required.  Make your online reservations anytime, day or night, at KOA.com. You'll receive a confirmation email from the campground once you complete your reservation. *Please refer below to Holiday and Special Events for additional deposit and cancellation requirements.*

Vehicle Registration & Safety

  • All vehicles must maintain speeds of 10km/hr or less inside the campground. All normal rules apply: i.e., no alcohol, no sitting in the backs of trucks.
  • We allow 2 vehicles to park on each camping site. All other vehicles must be registered and parked in the main parking area by the office. 
  • Please have your license plate(s) information with you for registration. 
  • Parking passes must be visible at all times. 

Tent Policy

To avoid overcrowding of tenting sites, we have a 2-tent maximum per tent site (guest choice of sleeping tent(s) versus kitchen tent) as long as structures stay within the site limits. 
  • Only one tent is permitted on the back-in regular 30 amp sites (choice of tent). 
  • Each site may have a maximum of 6 people /one family unit. Maximum of 4 adults per site. Additional fee(s) over 2 adults are applicable.

No sleeping tents are permitted on Pull-thru sites/Deluxe Patio Sites/Deluxe Tenting sites/Cabins & Rental Trailers. A kitchen tent is acceptable.

Bedding for Rentals

Please bring your own bedding for cabin and RV rentals.
