Campground Cancellation Guideline

Campground Specific Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your reservation, please call 902-963-2079 or 1-800-562-1879 before the deadlines listed below to receive your deposit refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations are not acceptable. 

RV & Tent Sites: 48 hours cancellation notice is required. Notify Cavendish KOA by 4 p.m. two days before your scheduled arrival.Camping Cabins: 7 days cancellation notice required. Please notify Cavendish KOA one week before your scheduled arrival.Deluxe Cabins and Trailer Rentals: 14 days cancellation notice required. Please notify Cavendish KOA two weeks before your scheduled arrival.Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.Cancellations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of all deposits.No Show reservations will FORFEIT your deposit and your reservation will be forfeited.Reservations are not transferable without campground approval

Holidays & Special Events - Holidays and Special Events may have special deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Special conditions may apply during high-demand periods and special events.

There is a 5 night minimum stay between July 5th - 10th, 2024 due to a special event. A deposit equal to the five night minimum is required. All cancellations are subject to a minimum service fee of $75.00 for these dates. Cancellation deadline for these dates to receive a refund less the $75.00 service fee will be May 1, 2024. After May 1st, the full deposit will be retained.There is a 2 night minimum stay between Sept 13th -15th, 2024 due to a special event. All cancellations are subject to a minimal service fee of $50.00 for these dates. Cancellation deadline for these dates to receive a refund less the $50.00 service fee will be May 1st, 2024. After May 1st the full deposit will be retained.

National Cancellation Guideline

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the campground before the deadlines below to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $20 administrative cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations will not be accepted.

Cancellation Deadlines:

  • RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., seven days before your scheduled arrival.
  • Lodging & Accommodations: You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., fourteen days before your scheduled arrival.

For guests booking accommodations in California, a full refund will be given for reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking, provided the arrival date is at least 72 hours after the time of booking.

Cancellation Details:

  • Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.
  • Cancellations made after the deadlines will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
  • No refunds are given due to the discomforts of nature, including no-shows and early checkouts.
  • No refunds are given on or after the arrival date.
  • Refunds will be processed using the original credit/debit card, with no exceptions.
  • The cancellation policy may be amended during a Regional/National travel disruption.
  • Holidays and special events may have unique deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Please check with your selected KOA for details.
