Bright lights shining straight into our tent all night, traffic noise from freeway, showers moldy

Dirty, unserviced restrooms. No toilet paper (men’s and women’s), sinks don’t drain (women’s), hair in shower after posted cleaning times (women’s), 2 sink faucets didn’t work (men’s). Extreme traffic noise. Lousy drinking water. Poor value for price.

Stayed one night to go to the caverns the next day. Caverns are pretty far away..about an hour with traffic. The campground was nice and well equipped. Wifi worked great. Facilities were clean. Friendly staff.

We came in around 7:30 with no reservation. The desk attendant was polite, cheerful, and accommodating. Bathrooms were clean, as was the recreation area. Totally what we needed after a long day of driving.

The location was good to get to the Caverns. The downside was the premium tent sites were all under the same roof, like a gazebo cut into pie slices. This meant you felt like your neighbors were literally in your site. It was so loud and we got very little sleep. The bathrooms were run down and the onsite “restaurant” wasn’t reliable. The women running the place did the best they could.

Folks in the office were friendly and helpful. Campground for tents was "cozy" but nice. Recreation hall was convenient and well kept.

We tent camped- no electric or water. The site was very well kept. amenities - like a microwave, store and board ganes. The restrooms lacked. The sinks were "out of service" in the mens restroom and there wasn't any handsoap. It would be nice if the bathroom amenities were restocked before last shift. They did address it in the morning. Ladies sinks were SLOW to drain.

The premium tent site should have swept out before we checked in. Also, your website misrepresented the site having a grass pad. Our site was pure dirt.

We had a wonderful time. Only sad that the high winds forced us to leave early. None of us wanted to go.

Chose this site as a two-night base for Guadalupe Mtns and Caverns. Clean and generally quiet location and facilities!

One of the most frustrating camping experiences I've ever had. KOAs are never our destination, but merely a place to sleep. We were a late arrival, when we got there there was someone else set up in our site, so we had to disassemble camp in the morning before going to the caverns in case someone had the site we stayed in reserved, and then wasn't sure if we'd have a site when return.

We stayed in the tent pavillion and it was incredible. The rec room was fantastic. Showers and restrooms were clean. Everything about our stay was amazing.

Unfortunately the worst KOA I’ve stayed in. Bathrooms were dirty and floors looked like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. The water faucets and electrical did not work. Also so close to the highway you could hear traffic easily.

Absolutely no hot water in shower. No soap in the mens. Broken water pipe near tent sight and dead mice. Not fragrance free. My husband suffers from an autoimmune condition and cant be around strong chemicals . men’s restroom reeked of Pinsol used to cover smells. He was terribly sick. Wish KOA was more mindful of that. No staff to help. Such a pity so much potential waisted could be really grea

There was no warm much less hot water. Also, I know that it's for our safety, but a bright light was on all night long shooting straight to our tent. I wish the tent pads were further away from so much lighting. We also had a neighbor that stayed in their car and were constantly opening/closing their doors and also kept turning their car on and off to keep warm. Was pretty annoying.

Friendly staff, great stay. Oct ‘23. The pool was open during our stay despite the website stating closure on 10/1. Sadly, due to reported staff shortages, the BBQ dinners were unavailable. The grounds are very well maintained and offer many amenities. TP in mens restrooms was scarce. Nearby homes did have barking dogs overnight

My family and I was there to tent camp for the weekend. There was plenty of activities for the kids to play, the pool was clean, the restrooms/showers were well kept. The grounds were clean and guest services was outstanding and more than accommodating.

Excellent campground with clean amenities. The rec room is great for the kids, everyone was friendly and respectful. The campsite was clean and offered shade during the afternoon.

The staff was VERY friendly!! That's what I have experienced at all the KOAs. However, the Tent village sites were too small... our tent barely fit. There were other tent sites but I'm not sure if they had electricity, which we needed. No hot water in main building. Diner was closed (seasonal). Just wasn't up to the quality we ate used to at KOA.

No hot water in showers. Mens sinks did not work regularly. Tent pavilion a good idea in theory, but carried noise from neighbors. Felt like camping on top of each other. Neighbors played music through Bluetooth speaker with heavy bass frequently and spoke loudly after quiet hours. Constant Highway noise. Not a close location to national park.

There were absolutely no trees in the tent camping pad area. We were the only tent there and they put us way out in the hottest site. The website was deceptive as there was no shade and it was ridiculously hot at this time of year.

After asking, we are very appreciative after finding out how hot it was when we arrived to be moved to a tent spot with a little more shade. It made our stay a little more pleasant with two kids who were on their first tent camping road trip. The kids thoroughly enjoyed all the activities available especially when it started to rain! The giant chess board was probably their favorite.

Poor experience - quite bad in fact. Grounds are not as pictured online- deceptive marketing. Tent area covered in ant hills, flies galore due to piles of trash at dumpsters. Bathrooms not cleaned the entire stay and were absolutely disgusting. When we spoke with the front desk we were told they were understaffed and would be cleaned after we left. Left a day early.

For the most part I enjoyed my stay…BUT the fly problem was of biblical perportions. I asked for some assistance at the counter and was told there was nothing they could do. Everyone in the tent coral was innodated and the could get the area sprayed, or fly strips or light traps. SOMETHING could be done if they wanted to.

I'm sorry to have to say this.... but.... no running water in sink in the bathroom... grounds...... i picked up stuff lafr over from prior campers on my camp site.... would not consider taying there again.... have been to many different KOA's over the last few years that I would love to visit again.... this one.... not!

We were upset that the pool was out of commission but we really liked how the Tent City was set up and the other amenities were well worth the price.

We had a great time, and were happy to stay at the Carlsbad KOA. It was well kept and well managed. The only improvement I would suggest is that some weed spray be done to take care of all the Goat Head weeds. There were so many that we couldn't hardly take a step without getting goat heads in our shoes. All the KOA balls were flat because of it, and our air mattress went flat because of it

I have stayed at many KOAs, and this one left much to be desired in comparison to all the others. It was disappointing to see the pool and shop closed on a holiday weekend that is traditionally a peak camping time. My campsite had trash left from previous camper and severely broken picnic table. Restroom facilities were clean. I should've stayed at the state park instead for the price.

Great RV spots. Very spacious! Well kept, very clean. About 45 mins from Carlsbad Caverns. They do make pizzas on site, but the nearest restaurant or store is about 30mins. Still really great KOA

Showers were wonderful, staff was friendly. Liked the activity room and games. Price was reasonable. If anything was not right, I would say that shower curtains need cleaned routinely, they had mildew on the bottom
