Loved the location. Easy to get to the Cavern and Sitting Bull Falls. Loved the pool! Laundry was adequate. We had a shade tree. Bathrooms were nice. Had a big storm roll through and did not lose power.

We were there after the busy season. We enjoyed large space between campers. Campsite was not prepped before our arrival. Lots of bird poop on and under table. Dog feces in the grass around our RV. We made reservations ahead of time. I expected more from KOA and a Premium site.

The absolutely only downside was the smell each morning that I asked abt and it has to do with the lake that is close by. Everything else was fantastic.

Site was in row D, very poor WIFI even though we were only 4 rows from main building. We asked the large female (with multiple tattoos) in the office if we could pair our WIFI extender to their base, she immediately said no. I asked to speak to the Manager, she said Manager was not there. Another employee found the manager in the office. This female employee needs customer service intervention.

The name Carlsbad KOA insinuates that it is in the town of Carlsbad, but it’s 15 miles out. And it’s even farther away from Carlsbad’s main attraction, Carlsbad Caverns. Also, not sure why we were wedged in between two other occupied campsites when there was plenty of other unoccupied sites to allow us more privacy. We didn’t see any brochures in the office about surrounding attractions

The men’s bathroom needs serious attention to the encrusted lime deposits on all the plumbing fixtures that apparently has been ignored for quite a long time. The four faucet sink only had one working faucet. This makes me think that the owner operators don’t care.

We were disappointed in our stay. There was no hot water for the showers. The office closed at 5 and we could not get quarters for the laundry. Our site did not have bay propane left in the tank. The pool was infested with ants and there was no one available to assist us.

Everyone was very kind interacting with us and the property itself was decent. Unfortunately that’s the only nice thing I have to say. The water was cut off very frequently for repairs and issues they were having, 1-16 hours at a time. Water wasn’t potable. The pool was not available for 1.5 months of our stay. We had trouble attempting to pay our bills, saying come back later. Just super chao

It was clean and had plenty of things to do as a group. From swimming to giant chess, was very good and the staff was friendly and unintrusive while still making their presence felt

Lot was nice, big, and level. Easy to setup a big 5th wheel. Having BBQ on site was a plus since it’s outside of the town and a bit of a drive to get there.

The bathroom were dirty. Faucets and soap dispenser didn't work. I won't be back and will not recommend this KOA.

No groceries to buy. Miles from nearest market. Unfriendly staff whenever you saw them. Grass dead. Pool dirty. Didn’t use any other facilities we have a super C.

Campground is run down and in a terrible location. Not convenient for a visit to the caverns. No a/c in the restroom during July is unacceptable. Very dated facilities and unkept grounds. Weeds and thorn bushes littered the premise and the smell of raw sewage throughout prompted our early departure. This KOA is very reminiscent of Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan in 2010. Not a place for your family

The campground has all that is needed. However, it is much further from Carlsbad than anticipated. The website, app, and welcome email all state that the office and store are open until 7pm, but upon arriving around 6pm, I found that they are both closed at 5pm. Given the drive back from the national park and dinner was needed, we were never able to interact with the hosts or use the store.

We loved the game room, outdoor games, and pool. We did not like the rancid smell every morning, water quality (undrinkable, smelled like bleach, burned our skin and eyes), the fact that the campground is far from everything, and the limited store hours and items. Being so far from stores, it would be nice to be able to grab basics (milk/eggs/etc) right there.

Nothing there to do. Stores are 25-30 miles away and shop there closes at 5 or so. Also water full of bleach, burns your eyes

I love that I can have a really good barbecue dinner there. Lots of wildlife in the campground makes it fun to see while sitting outside…

Accommodations were nice, KOA personnel were very cordial & friendly. Would stay here, again, but at a cooler time of year. Too hot in July.

I was there to visit Carlsbad Caverns, which are about 30 minutes away. This is a nice facility with a pool, game room, store etc.The bathroom and showers were clean, and full hookups in the RV sites. Gas and charcoal grills throughout the park.

I tried calling the after hours number due to the fact we were out of propane for our grill, which we were using to cook our dinner. We went over to another site because we never got a call back and took to get from an open site. Just really as a sidenote, we went over to play basketball or do some sports with the kids and all the balls were flat. The outside games and cold pool was great!

We have traveled from Indiana to Arizona and then New Mexico. Staying at KOA the until time 6 total. This was the 1st time we encountered so much negativity. Very unwelcoming multiple signs stating what not to do as well as one in the door stating. We were charged for a patio site(that I called and requested if available) and we didn’t have a grill. I was then told it was actually a workers site

Staff needs a class on hospitality. I don't know if your entire staff realizes they are in a customer service industry. If they don't want to work here or in this industry and chose to have a giant chip on their shoulder they can chose to have employment elsewhere instead of taking it out on guests.The only person deserving of 5 stars is the one on the front end.

Great RV spots. Very spacious! Well kept, very clean. About 45 mins from Carlsbad Caverns. They do make pizzas on site, but the nearest restaurant or store is about 30mins. Still really great KOA

Showers were wonderful, staff was friendly. Liked the activity room and games. Price was reasonable. If anything was not right, I would say that shower curtains need cleaned routinely, they had mildew on the bottom
