very clean camp sight with gorgeous scenery on a flowing river

We enjoyed the sound of the river so close to our cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We found this KOA offers a lot to do as a campground. Only bad experience was another campers Boston terrier got loose a couple times and attacked our dog. But that wasn't the KOA's fault.

This is by far the best KOA where we have ever stayed and we’ve been staying at KOAs for 15 years. The owners, managers, and staff are helpful and friendly. Several sites are right on the river and most sites have mature trees. Smaller than your average KOA so it doesn’t fee crowded.

Ktichen is lacking some basic utensils like better knives, platter, covers to pots and cutting board is the same as 10 years ago, pretty warped. The bathroom sink sprays out to far as the faucet is too long. Bikes could use an upgrade and we wish there was a gas grill at each cabin. Otherwise loved it...

Beautiful campground right on the river. Something for everyone. RV, Tent, or Cabin. Staff was very polite and helpful and the set up with firepits and chairs is great!

It was awesome, we rented a cabin right on the Crystal River. The location is perfect for trips to Glenwood Springs, Aspen and Maroon Bells, lots of things to see and do.

Camp is clean. People are nice. At booking. I Was not told no sewer hookup available. $10 charge to empty if one stays less than five days. ZERO cell service. Bad wifi.

We stayed in the teepee and it was wonderful. Clean bathrooms, nice people, and just a great time. Louise made our stay memorable and she was so helpful and kind.

We had a very nice stay. I was disappointed in the pool. Very small and very cold. I was so looking forward to a swim but it didn’t happen. Also, too bad they don’t take out a tent site by the river and make a picnic area so that all could enjoy the river.

We had a camp site next to the river and on the sound of running water put me to sleep! The campgrounds offer lots of clean facilities and activities. Loved the stay and will be back again.

The cabin sloped bad enough that is made sleeping difficult. The shower head didn't work, so they purchased a new shower head to use for their stay. I have been to the Crystal River Campground 4 or 5 times. It is one of my favorite campgrounds. I like the staff, the cleanliness, the location, the river, and there are a lot of things to do and see in the area. We hiked to Hanging Lake, drove to Crystal Mill, and hung out in Carbondale.

We stayed in a creek front cabin for 3 nights and it was amazing. We've stayed at a number of KOA's across the US and this has to be among the top in the nation. I was shocked at how secluded the location was, we may as well been camping all by ourselves. The people who work there were great too. Everyone seemed happy and had a big smile, which goes a long way.

Campground is in a great location. Very neat and clean. The hosts, however, attempt to turn everything into a profit center. Bought a bag of wood for $8. Only had six average to small pieces. Had my daughter and son-in-law, who live in the area, over for dinner. They were charged $15 for the privilege of entering the campground: $5 for the vehicle and $5 per person. Also staff was very rude.

We visited our granddaughter in Colorado and your park was close proximity to their home. You park was lovely and well laid out so as not.to feel up against your neighbors . Very nice staff and well equipped recreation room but sorry to see no Denver Nuggets fans watching them winning the NBA championship!! We be sure to return. Thank you.

We stayed in the streamliner for 1 night. It was a short stay because we met some friends. After dinner we went to the caravan and made a fire We slept like babies. The host was super friendly

Everything was great except when I first walked into the cabin there was an unpleasant odor. Maybe because the heater was on? Maybe because the cabin hadn't been used for a while. I realize a KOA cabin is not a hotel room- though I do believe it should smell nice. Maybe open the windows. Maybe use a healthy cleaner with a mild fragrance.

The campground is always in great condition, and the staff are beyond helpful; it's always a warm friendly experience. The environs of Crystal River and the Carbondale area are beautiful beyond words. I'll be back again... in just a few weeks actually.

This KOA was amazing. Location, cabins, host all great. Arrived with some snow and still got a great tour of the campgrounds. We stayed right next to the river with a view of mountains as soon as you walk out.

Overall good stay, clean, and friendly staff. BUT we went to leave on the closing date and water was shut off so couldn't flush out the tank.
