I enjoyed our stay, and felt the location is convenient. Buffalo is a hidden gem. My only complaint is that the desk agent provided some written directions to get to “Crazy Woman Canyon” which were useful to get there. However, because of how poorly they were written, we ended up taking a wrong turn on Hwy 16 and drove 22 miles in the wrong direction to return to the KOA.

Awesome stop! Love the office staff! The bathrooms and showers were very clean. I loved walking around the campground. I would stay there a again!

Excellent KOA! Loved this place, great access, large lots, beautiful view of little river/stream. Buffalo WY is quaint little Mountain View town . Steakhouse was excellent too! Wish we could’ve stayed longer

Even though we stayed one night, the camp ground was clean, the service desk personnel were kind and friendly, the layout was easy to follow and the log cabin theme was appealing to the eye.

This was such a relaxing quiet place to stay. We enjoyed visiting with other campers. It was a very clean campground. We would definitely stay here again.

Categorizing this KOA gem as a Journey is greatly unjust. We've stayed at multiple Journey KOA's for a quick over night and most of them are extremely basic. Buffalo Wy KOA is not basic at all. We stayed at West Glacier KOA RESORT 1 night prior to staying at Buffalo and the sites were comparable to the Resort sites. Buffalo KOA gets an A++ from us and should, at the very least, be a Holiday.

Res. in Jan. for July. Assigned site 23, much too narrow for our 25ft motorhome. Couldn’t open awning at all-tree branches both sides of site. Then to make our stay even worse, at 6:30pm an outdoor wedding reception began at the hotel right next door to us.DJ and loud music, cheering, etc continued til after11pm when thunderstorm ended that. Campgd not full so not sure why we were given this si

Site 23 is a beautiful Tent/RV site nestled in a corner with trees that people love. Big site for small rigs. Why did you complain in a review instead of asking for a different site? Seems like a choice to be unhappy. Music out of our control- we are working to ensure end by 10 pm.

Parking spot was nice, large enough and easy to get into. Water and electric hook up very poorly placed near the exit from pull through. We have stayed at KOA campgrounds frequently over the last 11 years, but they are now way too expensive. Unfortunately, we will need to limit our use and stay at more reasonably priced public campgrounds.

Staff: great. Store: great. Bathrooms: great. Location, shady but not just the trees. Sites: close, fairly level, but in need of upgrades. Just an overnight, but likely will not stop again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Buffalo KOA this week, as always. The site was by the creek was one of our favorites, met some wonderful people, enjoyed the shaded evenings on the patio, and the owners. Thanks again, Peoples family, looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful campground. We were to stay 4 nights however on the second day we were called home for a family emergency. When checking out and explaining our situation they credited our card back for 3 nights. I was not expecting this. Great people here at the Buffalo KOA. Will definitely return and promote Buffalo KOA to all.

Wow - I could not be happier with our stay. We were warmly welcomed every time we went into the camp store. When we arrived close to dinner she offered a few places to eat that were local favorites. Our site was on the creek and was such a lovely restful place, I wish we could have stayed longer.

Friendly staff, clean facilities, quiet clean sites! We loved it, especially thankful for an opening because I was too tired to make it to my reserved spot 2 hours away. The shade and quaking aspen tress next to the picnic table was quite enjoyable as well!

Beautiful!!! One of, if not THE BEST we've ever visited. Staff are amazing. Grounds, bathrooms and facilities are spotless, peaceful and beautiful. Even doing laundry was enjoyable. Centrally located to many sites in the area. I highly recommend finding a reason to stay here. Thank you to you all!!!

Fairly nice campground. the young ladies at the desk were pleasant. My biggest issue was getting in and out of my spot. The driveways were real narrow, and it didn't help that the full-timers park if front of their campers. I had to ask two of them to move their vehicles to get in, and even then it was a struggle. And I only have a 29'! Good thing a lot of people had left before me!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We have no full-timers at our park. The roadway you were on is one-lane, one-way and significantly wider than the required road width. I recommend you get a pull-through next time instead of an economy back-in to give yourself the space you need.

Very well cared for KOA. Very nice management - everyone was so friendly and helpful. Sites are excellent. We don't have a dog, but if you do, very dog friendly with several fenced dog runs.

Wow! What a great KOA!! We truly enjoyed the site, the stream, the cleanliness, the layout! Buffalo has become my very favorite KOA! Keep up the great work! We will definitely return and hope Site 55 is available 👍🏻🇺🇸

Stayed here on night early March when it was still closed for the season. We called and they were accommodating. Paid via the dropbox in the main office. Laundry and bath facilities were open. We had to use the water fill station due to sub freezing temps but that is expected this time of year- no water at the sites. We were very appreciative to have a place with power and water to stay overnight.

We became stranded due to car trouble, in December! We called and they called us back immediately and had us a cabin in just a few minutes. We ended up staying 2 nights. The restrooms and showers were clean and water temperature perfect! Such a beautiful area and the residents of Buffalo are so nice!!
