Sometimes the staff was friendly other times not so much. I asked about having 2 vehicles at the cabin and was told that we can Park up front or on either side of the campfire just to be called up and told we need to move a vehicle. I also kept getting phone calls to move us out of the cabin to some where else it was very annoying. I will not be coming back if they keep changing rules all the time

No staff reported conflicts with you. None told you that two vehicles could be parked at the site. Asking to move a vehicle isn't a big deal. I did ask if it was possible to move you to a one room when your reservation showed only 2 people. Once you clarified more were coming I happily accommodated.

Very cute small town, camp is the best KOA I have seen. Great steak restaurant just down the street (3 minute walk). It made a great stop along our long journey.

Beautiful, well maintained campground with lots of pull through sites. Conveniently located and the owners were friendly. We were late season campers, so the campground was mostly empty with lots of one nighters pulling in in the evening and leaving in the morning, which was perfect for us..lol! For how we like to camp, it was a perfect experience! Thank you!

We only stayed for one night, but we really enjoyed our stay. This KOA looks even better than the last time we stayed. It is clean, well maintained, and they are constantly improving it. The new section at the back is absolutely gorgeous; we hope to book one of those sites in the future. The personnel were pleasant and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Buffalo KOA is one of our favorite campgrounds; river sites are fabulous, scenic and quiet, facilities are clean and well maintained, staff is great, and also very knowledgeable about the area.

We could only stay 1 night, but this could be a destination or base camp for the area. We loved everything about it from first talking to staff. Most of all, the dog park was the best we've ever seen!! No grass, but nice, even gravel, a boulder wall with path on top, and big concrete pipes to go on, over and through! The best exercise for our pups after some long days on the road. Thank you!!

We’ve been to KOAs across the USA and this is still our favorite! We try to stay here once a year on our way to and from Yellowstone. We particularly enjoy the sites that are enclosed. Great for our dogs after a long day of traveling. The store is always stocked and the staff is friendly and eager to help!

This KOA had a family feel about it. The customer service was excellent. This campground was one of our favorites so far. There were big old lovely trees by the campsites - beautiful.

I work for koa"s. This was in my top 2 favorite KOA'S of all time. Very clean, very well maintained. I will be back in the spring. Big rig friendly as well.

Quite expensive , event with the Cruise America discount 67 $ !

Your budget constraint doesn't take away from the experience provided especially when you have other local options. We offer modern, clean facilities, plenty of activities, great hospitality and a beautiful place to rest and enjoy the quaint western town of Buffalo and surrounding area.

Very nice campground. We were on our way from Yellowstone to Deadwood and this was a great 1/2 way stop for us. Very clean and well maintained campground and if we are ever in this area again a for sure stop!!!

Wonderful “Resort” campground. Beautiful location, spotlessly clean, and quiet. Very accommodating host, and staff. The new addition has the finest sites we have found anywhere. Just love hiking the Bighorns, swimming in Lake DeSmet, and enjoying the town. Best kept secret in the West!

Campground is beautifully maintained! We stayed in the back-in patio site by Clear Creek - wonderful!! My husband caught dinner two nights!! We will be back!!

This is an extremely beautiful campground with fun things for the kids to do. This is the second time we have stayed here and we have seen many additional upgrades. Not sure how KOA rates the campgrounds. If Journey is the lowest, it needs to re-rated to a higher level.

Very nice park, clean and good size sites. I would give it a 5 but when they put boulders on every corner, every turn it makes it challenging. 45 foot Bus towing

While we can understand your frustration at boulders, we planned all sites to be comfortable to turn in and out of (even your 45 footer!) We do recommend unhooking for rigs over 40 feet to make the turns easier. Boulders are placed so rigs avoid running over sprinklers! It is a delicate balance!

If I could give this campground 10 stars I would! It is literally the best KOA we have stayed at!! We had the fenced in site for our puppy and it was AMAZING! The sites were extremely clean and well spaced out. The creek was beautiful as well. Laundry favorites were clean and had a decent number of washer/dryers. ALL KOAs should take a page out of their book. Thanks for doing such a great job!

We stayed in a deluxe patio site that backed up to the creek (#97). All the amenities were wonderful and included patio furniture and a BBQ so we didn't have to unload anything. The creek path is a perfect place to walk the dog and a very enjoyable place to enjoy nature. We will be back!

Best KOA campground we have ever stayed in. This place is resort like. Perfect sites, beautiful trees and views. This location puts as much effort into welcoming their furry guest as it does human ones. Sorry we were only there for a day!

Wow! What a great KOA!! We truly enjoyed the site, the stream, the cleanliness, the layout! Buffalo has become my very favorite KOA! Keep up the great work! We will definitely return and hope Site 55 is available 👍🏻🇺🇸

Stayed here on night early March when it was still closed for the season. We called and they were accommodating. Paid via the dropbox in the main office. Laundry and bath facilities were open. We had to use the water fill station due to sub freezing temps but that is expected this time of year- no water at the sites. We were very appreciative to have a place with power and water to stay overnight.

We became stranded due to car trouble, in December! We called and they called us back immediately and had us a cabin in just a few minutes. We ended up staying 2 nights. The restrooms and showers were clean and water temperature perfect! Such a beautiful area and the residents of Buffalo are so nice!!
