The overall experience was satisfactory, although it lacked the excitement I've had at other KOA camps. The glamping was enjoyable, but certain amenities, such as a pot, were missing. The design flaw in the big tent allowed rain to enter through the gap between the tent and the restroom. Additionally, the campsite was overcrowded, with campsites situated too closely together.

Sorry your stay was only satisfactory. You the camper is what makes things exciting or not. You left out the part where we gave you a pot. And upon checkout we checked the cupboard and the large pot was indeed THERE! Fourth of July weekends most campgrounds are usually full. Happy camping!!

the Campsite itself was super clean and very convenient. Everything looked new and well kept. If I could just rate the site, I would give it a 10/5...but I feel like the area must be included as well and we didn't love Bucksport/Fort Knox...plus it was rainy. Both of these are out of the control of the nice folks that run the KOA, but did play a part in our stay.

Hopefully next time you plan your vacation you check out the area before making reservations to ensure that you can find things that will accommodate your needs. Yes you are also right we can not control the weather.

The only problem we had here was the slow Wi-Fi. It cut out a lot. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Wish we had been a bit closer to Bar Harbor, but that’s no fault of the campground. The area of the campground we were in was nice and open (lot 66). We did not use any amenities, so can’t comment on those. Owners were super friendly people.

Good communication before arrival, wonderful friendly owners. Nice tent site we had. Gift shops has quilting supplies and hosts quilt retreats several times a yera if that interests you. Snack bar has soft serve ice cream daily. Would return.

Very nice quiet campground. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very nice camp store. Young David was especially helpful with his directions. Will certainly return.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and everything was perfect. Most people don't realize that KOA has a very steep ranking system. A 5 and 10 is the only ranking that gives us a good grade, anything below gives us zeros. Thank you for the kind words and we hope to see you again.

We had a wonderful stay! Even with all the rain, the campground staff made sure we had lots to do. They have a well stocked rec room and we had a large selection of games, books, and puzzles to choose from. We got to experience a visit with Santa and mine for gems, ride bikes and play on the playground. We will definitely be back!

On the road trip there, we got 2 calls from the amazing family who runs this KOA. The second time they called it was unfortunately a family emergency. When we got there, people were still there to greet us and take us to our site. The only things I could complain about was I feel as if our campsite was very muddy compared to everyone else’s. But besides that, the staff at this campground was gre

We are sorry that your stay was not a 5 and 10. It had rained for a week here. Your site is rocked with a cement pad. Only mud was in the front of the site due to a low spot and all of that unusual rain. If in the area again hopefully you will look us up. Happy Camping

Very pleasant and professional staff. I particularly enjoyed, and was surprised, by the welcome “bag” I received at check in. The Maine campgrounds magazine was especially beneficial. Recommend this KOA when you travel. God Bless!

Nice quite site, not far from town & loved the patio table plus chairs on the concrete patio. Adirondack chairs were a nice touch too. Would stay again, if up this way

Bucksport KOA was an excellent choice. Concrete patios on all sites with nice tables and fire pits. This was a great place to stay while exploring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Hosts are delightful people.

Outstanding Fall experience! David and Marlene were fantastic. So friendly and fun and went out of their way to make it special for us! We had a great site and it was right at the tail end of their season! The leaves are beautiful and it's just a fun place to be!

Campgrounds were great. Clean well kept. Actually gave us a welcoming gift when we checked in which is unheard of. Gentleman that parked us extremely helpful. They should have a 10but only given 1-5 to choose from.

One of the best KOA's I have been to. Beautiful campground, friendly hosts, incredibly well maintained. We stayed in the glamping tent and it was an awesome experience. Very nice, comfortable, and fun; the experience of tent camping with none of the challenges. Comfortable beds, private bathroom, refrigerator, propane grill, etc. The campground is in a great location relative to bar harbor and Acadia National park as well as other things to do in the area. I would highly recommend this KOA for anyone wanting to go camping in Maine. Thanks David and Marlene!!
