The faculty was nice and clean, and the staff were overall friendly. My biggest negative was the rate I was charged. I stayed over Halloween weekend, and was charged Holiday rates. I’ve never known Halloween to be considered a recognized Holiday. The price charged was way over what it should have been, nearly double. This will be my major consideration in NOT renewing my KOA membership.

Love Rhonda!! She is awesome! Very courteous and helpful. We used to camp there every year pre covid. Now post covid, the place has taken a turn for the worst. Lots of trash around. Weeds, roofing shingles, and just unkept.

The staff is phenomenal, especially Rhonda! I’m a seasonal camper, a widow staying alone, and I feel very safe and supported there.

Buckeye Lake KOA campground is beautiful, with lots of mature trees. The KOA team members were wonderful, friendly, and very attentive. The rating is based on the issues with screaming coming from one seasonal campsite and the very loud cussing coming from another seasonal campsite; both directly behind out 5th wheel. I would recommend requesting a site away from the seasonal sites.

I know it has been hard to find reliable help, unfortunately, the grounds have suffered. Lots of weeds, and dead plants where there used to be colorful beauty. It made me sad to see the pit holes and dirtiness of the public restrooms. This was the first year we have experienced this decline in the campgrounds.

Everyone is very nice and helpful. Things for the kids to do. Rhonda does a great job managing. Keep the grounds clean. The help is nice and will take time to help you or answer your questions. Been there for 12 years, seasonal. Thanks.

Loved the campground. Friendly staff. Really enjoyed the buddy sites, pull through full hookups. We hope to visit again soon.

Had a wonderful time your camp grounds are fantastic. I have a KOA closer but will definitely return to your site before going to the one closer. Our group has already said we will plan multiple trips to Buckeye Lake KOA next season

I was disappointed this year @ the lack of planned activities for the kids. The past 2years they have enjoyed doing crafts in the shelter house this year it was only pumpkin decorating. I also thought it was crazy they could only ride the bikes for 15 min/day then we had 2pay. While I understand everyone needs a turn and there could be time limits we paid a lot to camp more should be included.

My favorite campsite. Great service, very clean, great activities, amazing staff. The staff is not mean like some google reviews they are great. I have been in this KOA many times and have already booked for next year. Will recommend to anyone and keep coming back!

Camp ground was very clean. Check in crew and escort was great. Very easy to get pretty much any camper or RV in and out. We had a full hook up spot with our group. Hook ups were in great shape.

My wife and I needed a campground in a pinch, for a Friday night after leaving another campground that we did not feel comfortable in. The staff and facilities were nice. However, the price paid for the site is an absolute ripoff. Campers were packed in like sardines! You have no privacy here! I knew the reviews we so-so, but we did not have a choice. Most likely I would not return here.

Stayed next to the seasonal guests who were very noisy and ignored the quiet time (noisy until after 12:00 midnight). Site was extremely small for the price we paid (the Saturday night 10/22/2022 and Friday night 10/28/2022 were both $97.00). These were the nights the seasonal guests were very noisy.

Great campground. Reservations were very easy to make and the staff is awesome!! I’ve stayed here a number of times over the years and never had a bad experience.

Have stayed here before but this time around ended up with a site that barely fit my unit. Thought I had reserved a deluxe site but according to clerk that is not what I received. Will hesitate staying here in the future. Very tight sight between sites.

Very nice campground. We were just there for one night so we didn’t get to enjoy all the amenities they offer. Easy to get into and out of. Everyone was very kind.

Site was spacious and really quiet. Might be worth checking clearance on the entrance for low branches as one hit the rear ac unit on our fifth wheel.

Very nice grounds and well staffed. The bathrooms were well maintained and clean! The kid’s entertainment was a little lacking. The playground was dated and so was the putt putt. I thought there would have been more events for the Halloween themed weekend.

Out of all the sites we have stayed, I felt the safest at Buckeye Lake KOA! I have an active 3 year old and I was never worried about his safety.. The staff was always visible and easy to find if we needed anything. The restrooms were extremely well maintained and clean. The campsite was well lit. The ability to rent golf carts limited the amount of cars driving through. We felt very safe!

Very disappointing. Halloween weekend had practically no activities for children. Hayride had been canceled. DJ had been canceled. We were told it was due to Covid, but we got the impression it was due to not wanting to spend money on the campers. Campground looked shabby, needed fresh paint. Arcade room had problems with taking money without giving a game. Will not return.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We never advertised there would be a DJ or a hay wagon ride. If we are made aware of an issue in the game room we always take care of the guest. Our guests enjoyed pumpkin decorating, trick or treating, costume contest plus all our activity ammenties we advertise were open

Sites were nice and bathrooms were great. Staff on the other hand were not very pleasant. No "problems" per se, just that they never really smiled nor acted like they were happy that anyone was there. Walked through the gift shop area and when paying, seemed to be treated as a "bother", rather than thankful. Only pleasant staff member encountered was the one collecting garbage!

Rented a tent site and the managers and employees were super helpful and very nice. Great location for Buckeye Lake activities.

The camp hosts were awesome and worked tirelessly to keep us and all of the other guests happy, comfortable and taken care of. The campsite itself is right in the heart of Buckeye Lake with super easy access to local restaurants, the lakefront and convenience stores.
