Overall we love this campground. We have stayed in the cabins twice now, both times checking in after hours. Upon checkout both times, we felt less than appreciated customers. The cabin and campground are very well kept with lots to do and see. We would just like to feel like your guests are appreciated. We will be back on our next trip through.

Sites were spacious. I can’t speak for all the sites, but my site was level. The staff was friendly, the park was clean.

The campground is overall nice, though there was no mention that the arcade and pool that are on the map and listed in the amenities were not functioning. It was clear the pool was in severe disrepair, so it wasn't like it broke recently. Had we known that, we would have booked elsewhere.

I had a great stay. Love the dog park..the kids bouncy..maybe next time the pool will be operstional and it will make for a perfect stay!

One of the nicest KOA’s we’ve stayed at and we do a lot of KOA’s as we are criss crossing the country. Lots to do, nice level spaces and friendly staff.

Easy check in. We got our rig parked and set up. We were next to the pool that was either being removed or replaced but work was from a long time ago. We couldn't connect to the Wifi and found there were 3 links but couldn't connect to any of them. The area TV stations were spotty at times and some would not come in at all at times. We could only get about 8 channels.

It was fine until the mowing team arrived. We were sitting outside and the weed whacking threw gravel at us. Then they mowed while we were outside eating. Again, throwing gravel and stick pieces at us. It was very disruptive to say the least.

Un-Level sites, transients coming in trying to break into people’s rigs, no security, no lights! Pool is not in service, broken sewage connections, not happy for what we paid. We don’t have kids and are old, we don’t need a jump pad or water slide, you should at least give us a discount for the pool being out! This is the worst Koa we have ever stayed at!

Beautiful clean campground. We enjoyed staying for just one night. On the way to Banner elk. Great stop for those that are on the way to North Carolina. Definitely won’t stop again.

Got in late, 6:15 pm. Office was closed. Had mad3 reservation on line and never got response. There was no site information for us upon arrival. We had tore register and put info I. Night box. Very disappointed with service there.

Great campground and friendly staff. We stayed one night on our way home from the beach. Easy location just of the highway. We will stay here again.

The folks were friendly and helpful getting us checked in to our spot. The campground is very clean and well maintained. Our lot was level. There were lots of things to do so I wish we had time for a longer stay. Thanks!

The only reason I rated it a 3 is because no one told me when I made my reservation or when I arrived that the pool wasn’t in operation. I chose this campground because it had a pool. Very disappointed because it was my yearly trip with my grandchildren.Everything else was working fine.

Once it got dark, there were cockroaches everywhere! We were sitting around the fire and they were running around our feet. It was disgusting. We found one under our welcome mat so we threw it out in case there were eggs in it. I really hope none came into our RV. The pool was under construction and we found out it was in the exact same way this time last year. It was really hot out.

We have been coming to the Bowling Green KOA on the 4th for many of years. We have noticed very little improvement over the years. The camp sights all gravel with no improvement, the water supplies leak, the grass was not cute for the 4th, the swimming pool has been out of service for years.

The bathrooms are not very modern and nice. The quiet hours are long - not very family friendly. The store closed at 6 pm, which was a little inconvenient. The pool was closed (under construction), and while they offered an inflatable waterslide on the weekends, there was no alternative during the week. If you need a place to stay for a night on your way to another destination, this is good.

Park is lovely. Large sites. So much to do if you like to "play". Horseshoes, bags, sand volleyball, miniature golf, bouncy pad for kids, fenced in playground, large dog park. Beautiful cabins, friendly staff. Easy to get to from I65. Only downside is no pool.

As every campground has there is a few pros and cons. Really wish that the site noted the pool is temporary closed. Was truly looking forward to taking a swim after a 7 hour car ride. The patios for the cabins are exquisite very well maintained and decorated. However the inside of the cabins could use a little TLC.

The showers were not clean and the hot water timer really doesn’t work well. Our site was muddy and our picnic table was literally setting on the sewer pipe connection to the next camper. Needs more rock or concrete pads.

Very good grounds and hookups, along with flat-packed gravel and low-level concrete patio (as I requested) that were great with my wheelchair. Great family atmosphere here: lots of kids and parents playing/walking/bicycling. In the evening came a tornado siren. This is only first place where the campers & employees aka KOA's Joe Faust came knocking to assist us into the ramped concrete shelter, which is the bathhouse. We all swapped stories and then went back. Then came the second siren. Joe Faust, still in uniform, hadn't even made it home, but here he was again with the others. Back into the shelter, until it was over and they saw us home again. The beer I opened had gone warm, so had our hearts. Good people, good campground, and we are coming back to you Bowling Green KOA.
