Great location Loved the Grandfather Mountain swinging bridge. Very disappointed that there was so much said to entice us to actually visit the tourist attraction Blowing Rock. Not worth i.

We booked their “best cabin” with a bathroom. You have to drive on some long dirt path off a side road just to get to the front office and these people are extremely rude. No hi or how was your stay.. nothing. Just rude. No smiles. Flashforward, get to the cabin and it’s ancient and smells like an old disgusting daycare. No linens, pillows or towels. Also bugs on beds, moldy ceiling and rot

Very nice place, unfortunately we had some rude folks next to us that partied too late for a campground. That is not a fault of Boone KOA however, just affected our enjoyment. I would say, the lack of internet is a factor for us coming back. Boone KOA does state the WIFI cannot handle streaming, which is fine, however we had basically no internet for 2 days and cell phone service is spotty.

My girlfriend stepped in dog poop on our popup camp spot that a negligent dog owner failed to remove. Could not get cell phone reception on the camp site & the wifi was horrible. I could get cell phone reception near the bothroom & office, but the wifi still sucked there too. A $44 charge per night should at least have excellent wifi. Upgrade that crap or lose business! The rest was a 10!

We had a great stay! Peaceful campground, clean bathhouses, and the pavilion at our tent site was a great feature! Would definitely stay again!

Very narrow roads. Dusty. Our pull through could not be pulled out of. Had to back out of site. Tree at front of site made turn too sharp. Site not very level side to side. Pool was not open. Otherwise, people were friendly. Gravel road to get to campground, but fairly close to town of Boone.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. This park is old, very few level sites. The wifi was non existent. The cell coverage was very iffy. I am with Verizon. From what we were told this campground was the best for the area. I see a missed opportunity for someone in such a beautiful part of the state.

My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay. It was so peaceful and quiet in the evening. The facilties were clean and nice. More shade for the tent sites would be my only suggestion.

We have been visiting the KOA in Boone for years and we have a wonderful trip every time! The grounds are well kept and the cabins and bath houses are clean. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Stay was good. Few things though would have helped to get it to 5star. Street light by cabins was super bright and felt like being at a parking lot instead of a cabin in the woods because it was so lit up. Part of what we love to do is a campfire at night. Had to turn backs away from light to sit out at night(blinding). Would come back if could pick cabin # so as to not get in bright light again

We came in on Friday and the campground was clean, our camping cabin was waiting on us. Staff was friendly and helpful, offer information in regards to routes and options available for getting around the area. We enjoyed our stay. We will come and visit again soon.

We travel alot and frequently stay KOA. This is one of the best we’ve found. Quiet, exceptionally clean, grassy and private. We highly recommend.

While the staff was very pleasant I can't say much for the campground. We were put in a "pull thru" where there was no way we could pull through, so we had to back out. Site was dreadfully unlevel. No cable TV or internet for streaming or much of anything else. I usually use my MiFi but no cell service. Nope will definitely not return.

KOA Boone is a beautiful campground. The staff is wonderful, and I find myself coming back year after year. I so wanted to give 5 stars but this darned internet thing held me back. The internet is, well, not good. Better than last time, but still needs work. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.

We had a terrible time getting into our spot and once we did get in it was so unlevel we had to use our levelers as well as wooden blocks to get our camper at least slightly level. It took us an hour to park and level the camper. Once we were level, the rest of our stay was fine.

Perfect sized cabin! The deck with table and chairs added to the enjoyment! Great loop around the sites to walk my dog and she also enjoyed running in the designated dog gated area. The weather was spectacular, too!

Beautiful campground. We enjoyed the playground and visiting the animals that were right next door. The cabin we had was the perfect low key alternative to tent camping. Already thinking about a return visit

Beautiful spot in the hills outside of Boone. The campground and the facilities are well-maintained. You just can't beat the natural beauty that surround you while being < 10 minutes from the heart of Boone. We will definitely be going back.

A beautiful oasis for the weary. The people at the KOA were very friendly, patient, and kind. Christina deserves a gold medal for her DELICIOUS homemade pumpkin bread, cookies, and teas!!!!! And the farm fresh eggs are just like we both remembered as kids visiting our grandparents. EXCELLENT! Enjoyed the game room when it rained all day Sat. Loved seeing the farm animals/ on walk.

We stayed in site #10 at the bottom of the incline. Not big enough for our screen house but there was a little deck with table and chairs right next to the site which we were able to use. Long view of the area with cows grazing.

We had a fantastic time during our recent stay at this campground. The facility was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and it was professionally managed by Christina, who was absolutely amazing to work with. Her knowledge of the area allowed her to offer numerous recommendations for restaurants, hiking trails, and local attractions during our visit. Her friendly and kind nature went above and beyond, making our experience even more enjoyable. We wholeheartedly recommend this campground and eagerly anticipate our next visit. Christina is truly the best and excels at her job!
