I was disappointed that the pool and play area closed so early, especially since there was not much else to do close by and it was a weekend evening.

We enjoyed the little cabin we were in. People were friendly. We liked the old train they had at the campground.

Have stayed several times at this KOA and we love it. Carol and Ellis are great people and make sure our stay is enjoyable.

The staff is friendly. However, the site is very, very, very close to an important highway and a busy train track. As a result, the site is very noisy all day and night. Also our deluxe cabin was located just beside an abandoned water slide site (owned by the camping) which was providing us just a disappointing view when sitting on the deck. Sorry, but I will not stay there again

Very nice people running it who work hard to keep it running, but fall short. campground is run down and over grown. We counted14 spiders in our cabin, numerous spiderwebs and a dead bird...there were bathroom towels hanging up left over from the last guests i assume the cabin was not cleaned.

Great idea to have key cards for the washrooms

The KOA in Big Timber is very clean and well kept. Even though I didn't have kid's with me it looked like they had some fun stuff to do. It is nice to have activities available.

Peyton was a big help as we asked for directions to a redtsursnt.

I did not know about the railroad or highway being so close. Made for a not so restful night. Needs a little external cleanup on the cabins. They were nice and clean inside.

Loved the hot tub for adults. Loved all the green grass. Loved it was so close to the highway and easy to get off and on when coming and going. Friendly staff!

Spent the night with youngest daughter and grandsons. Kids love the jumping pillow but complained about how dirty it is. They also swam. Noted many improvements since last year's visit: small playhouses, new curtains in the cabin love the bird fabric. Consider power washing the unpainted picnic tables or placing tablecloths. Amy checked us in. Otherwise did not interact with other staff/owners.

Nice quiet campground. Cabin was clean and comfortable. We were unable to use the deck or pool/hot tub due to rain. The biggest drawback for us was no options for food in the immediate area. We did find a couple of places in Big Timber, 9 miles west.
Jul 12, 2017
it was a one night stop over so it was what we needed. BUT the bugs were in abundance. we were told there was a fire pit and there wasnt. The cabin sights are like right on top of each other. No one enforced the quiet time or the no fireworks. AND best of all....the train running by every couple of hours blasting its horn through the night.

Helpful happy and an enjoyable stay
Jul 06, 2017
The website fails to mention the campground is right beside the interstate and busy railway both of which are very noisy. The website also mentions a hot tub. I was told it wasn't working but there wasn't one on the property. Lastly, the cost of firewood should be included in the cost of a site rental.

Won't stay here again. Nice people but the train rolled by 4 times in the early morning blowing its horn. Also be forewarned, the water slide is abandoned!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We cannot help the train or the waterslide next door. The waterslide is being torn down tomake room for something else

very nice, clean and quiet

The people were very nice and Amy was helpful when we checked in. The real problem with this KOA is the highway and railroad noise. It's a pretty enough place but it's just too noisy.
Jun 30, 2017
Check out time that is listed on website was not correct. The site says 11 but when you get there you are told 10. Also the posted signs for playground/pool/jumping pillow times don't match what you are told at check in. If traveling with kids I would recommend checking in early rather that late evening if you want a chance for kids to play. Other than that it wasn't a bad place to stay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

our check out time is 11:00. The site map says 10: but we changed it to 11:00 when we opened this season.

I was ok with the train noise. We were able to run the air in the cabin to help it not be as much of an issue. I do believe the cabin needed to be cleaner and that the door needs a better seal. You can see outside when it is closed and so there were several spiders in the cabin. There wasn't anywhere to eat around here at 8pm except a gas stat. Amy was nice but was focused on leaving and winning

We enjoyed our stay. The jumping pillow was super fun for the kids. The hot tub is in a room inside with no windows and closed early (7:30pm I believe). I thougt pancake breakfasts were a KOA staple (which I now know isn't the case!) so they do not have that which was a little disappointing. Overall it was just a decent experience.
Jun 19, 2017
The campground is too close to the freeway.
Jun 19, 2017
Very pretty campground I love the trees and serene feeling it had. The trains that everyone complains about are not the fault of the KOA they didn't build the train tracks after all. Honestly, its wasn't that bothersome I think my friend snores louder anyways. :) We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Jun 14, 2017
Friendly staff, late night arrival, right beside interstate, stayed in a cabin, had spiders.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I did not know that we were having any spider trouble. We are in a lot of trees and that could be part of the problem, but we are having them sprayed today. Please try us again

We loved the jumping pillow i

The "lodge" that we were staying in looked like a storage shed with hastily added touches, not yet complete, the lack of sink and storage by the microwave and the too-small table with only 2 chairs made things a bit difficult. There was also no actual parking spot for this site. The bed was low to the ground with a very thin mattress. I was disappointed, given our experiences at other KOAs.

Will not stay at this KOA again. The owner/ manager was rude and condescending .There were no heaters in the cabins which made the night time extremely cold, there were no fire pits.

Only stayed over night here.Lots of flying bugs.Bathroom needs some upgrades.Looks like it was a nice KOA at one point.Staff was friendly told her our concerns with the bunks and she had my son climb up and show her our concerns. If this was again on our way, staying here wouldn't be out of the question.

Very nice folks and campground. Not as new as some but still clean and a great location. Train at night with horn blowing is the only negative. We would stay again!
Aug 21, 2016
The railroad was noisy but otherwise a nice place
Aug 17, 2016
This was a great little KOA for what we needed. It was the loudest KOA we have ever stayed in though. Being right next to the freeway and train tracks was a new experience in loud. Other than the noise it was great!
Aug 10, 2016
The location next to the freeway and railroad tracks made for a noisy night, but the campground itself was great.
Aug 03, 2016
The deep gravel in the entrance roadway is extremely dangerous for motorcycles. Cabin was good , store was poorly stocked
Jul 22, 2016
Your ad is misleading: This one has it all, kitchen and restroom. Sorry folks we do not allow pets in the cottage or on the cottage site. You do need to bring your own bedding. Should be more clear on the bedding issue. Are linens available for rent or for sale?
Jul 05, 2016
The campground was right next to the highway and a loud train with a louder horn went by every couple hours. With a very creaky bed we had the worst night's sleep. We don't recommend this campground.
Jul 05, 2016
Staff was very helpful when my daughter stepped on a bee before we even got checked in to our cabin. Train and freeway noise made sleep nearly impossible. Restrooms out of TP in several stalls at 8am, no extra to be found.
Jun 25, 2016
We had a great night's stay. The beds were very comfortable, and my kids love taking a swim in the pool. The price was a steal, and the friendliness of the people was a bonus. There was plenty of warnings about the sounds of traffic and trains, and free ear plugs were even offered, but we weren't bothered by the sounds at all.
Jun 21, 2016
Very pleasant stay. Neat and clean. Relaxed which I needed! Would recommend.
Jun 16, 2016
Campsites were nice but, facilities and store were outdated.
