We stayed in a cabin with 3 Units (41B). It was great having the creek below us and hot water in the unit to shower, but I don’t think that was a mattress on the bed. It felt like a box spring because that’s what we felt all night -springs.

Great cabin, but very disappointed in the parking accommodations. We called ahead to see if we could park our truck with flatbed trailer in a pull through for the night. We were told they could not give us one without charging for it. When we got in at 9pm the parking was quite a ways from our cabin. We had to walk past many empty pull through sites. We will not stay here again.

We have a small parking lot next to our cabins as well as a spot for a single vehicle at each cabin. As discussed, overflow/golf parking is available at the entrance of our park. Using RV sites as parking can cause conflict as sites are predetermined and we had many late check ins such as yourself.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The whole grounds were beautiful and kept very nice and clean. We rented a cabin which was run down, next to a permanent RV with lots of clutter and the floor flooded with water in the middle of the night.

Beautiful place, well maintained. Stayed in a cabin, clean and well stocked, however, needed a floor mat near the door and extra blanket in the back room. The heater works well, but too loud and hot for the people in the loft at night. That being said, we are already planning a summer trip to enjoy the river, pool and water splash area.

Very nice, clean cabin by the river. Comfortable and convenient. Peaceful to sit on the back porch and listen to the river below. Just a few steps down to the river bank.

Super clean, well-stocked cabins, and lots of them! Wonderful staff. Beautiful location near redwoods. Adjacent historic Benbow Inn a nice place for dinner or a drink.

I think for the winter season, the value was not good. Price in general was too high for the state of the cabin. Towels were thread bare and no sugar or creamer for the coffee. A heavier winter blanket or an extra blanket for the winter would have been nice. Staff at front desk was very nice and professional.

We stayed at the cabins that are right on the river and I would highly recommend this location as you can sit on your back porch and watch the river. There is a cute little front porch too. I stayed in two different cabins, one slept 4 people and one slept 2 people. I prefer the cabin that sleeps two. Kitchen was stocked with cookware but you may want to bring your own. The winter discount is $125

Family lives up the street so, very convenient. Cabin is old and a bit beaten but, we don’t care. It’s clean and has all we need to be comfortable. We’ll be back. Love it in the summer when the pool and hot tub are available for use.

Extremely clean cabin. Very quiet, perfect location with easy river access. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I clean vacation rentals for work so I feel like I have high standards on how interiors should look and this place exceeded expectations.

We were very happy Friday. Then Saturday came and we had to listen to children riding 4 wheelers around our cabin and my daughters camp for hours� they were without helmets at first. Then we’re told to put helmets on so they did. They mom just sat inside her cabin and wasn’t watching them at all. Beautiful place but not a place to relax!! Disappointed w/ our 8-day cabin stay. Shower: either super hot or super cold. When reported to front desk staff, it was insisted that the hot water takes some time to arrive. Wrong: faucet taps provided desired temps quickly. Knob finally replaced several days in. Kids' train: unavailable despite touted. Broken concrete: toddler nearly fell into hot BBQ grill. Kids bunks: converted laundry room.

The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Scotty. Unfortunately, our stove and oven in #45 was not working or the toilet. I am hoping we might get a free night at a KOA to compensate us for the inconvience.

I was at the KOA for a Family gathering. Since I don't have a Motor Home/Trailer I stayed in a small one room triplex which was clean & quiet. Next year I will reserve the same room.

This KOA is laid out very well. Golf, basketball, pool, water play area, pool table with arcade, and more. I will definitely return, oh, the ladies behind the counter are amazing!!!

Staff were wonderful but the cabin was horrible. We happen to visit a day when the temps hit a high of 104 degrees and the cabin had a small air conditioner which barely worked and all the rooms had screens missing so we could not open the windows. My grand children had what I thought was a lift with two beds and it was a after thought of adding a room which had ceilings of about 3 feet and no ai

We stayed in one of the cabins: No back screen door, missing screens on windows, lights not working, front door stuck - to name just a few issues. And there's no 10pm quiet enforcement so the common fire pit folks kept us awake until 1am, literally outside our back door. Based on our wonderful previous KOA experiences, I expected lot more for $350+ a night. Disappointing to say the least.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed in our Benbow KOA stay. The cabin was very run down, ant infestation, duck tape covering some vent on the wall, upon arrival lights didn’t work (they were able to fix this), etc. we ended up moving cabins due to the ants but the pool was green, splash pad not working and you had to ask office staff to turn it on and off for use which is inconvenient, etc.

The staff was wonderful & friendly but the conditions in the cabin we rented were far below expectations at over $300 a night. We rented # 37. The floors were filthy and needed to be mopped. The stove top didn’t work, some of the outlets didn’t work we had to put the coffee pot on the floor to use it, the couch is peeling apart and has been patched several times, and the toaster was missing.

Lots of bats in cabin. Some items need an update. No bowls for mixing or salads. No bakeware. The ac could not keep up with the heat. Cost of halls were outrageous. Lights were not functioning.

The staff were friendly and the site was nice. It was very difficult to open the cabin front door using the provided keys. The biggest issue we had was ants. There were several in the cabin we stayed in, especially in the kitchen. We had to be super diligent about cleaning up every crumb, which is difficult with young children, and annoying while ok vacation. We were unable to use the main counter

No hot water in kitchen sink, stove top didn’t get hot enough to boil water, no oven, couch was so disgusting we couldn’t sit on it, bed was very comfortable, lots of clean towels, air conditioner worked great, no pot holders in kitchen, toilet paper roll fell off wall.

We rented a camping cabin and an RV space for the weekend. We have stayed here many times in the past. We found the camp fees reasonable, but they are charging fire fees and adding taxes (about 14%) to all services. The community bathrooms for campers were in terrible condition with 3 out of the 6 toilets in the women’s restroom leaking and pooling water on the floor and 2 not working at all.

The KOA facility for campers was good. We stayed in a cabin, which was very nice until we went to bed. The bed in the cabin was the Worst we've ever slept on. We never fell asleep. The bed was old, lumpy and box springs were so noisy with every turnover. So disappointing for $350 a night.

Cabin was very dirty, floors, mold around air conditioner, dishes in the dishwasher. Needed many minor repairs. Two lightbulbs out, no screen on sliding glass door, outlet in loft did not work. For $350 a night we could have stayed in a nice room at the Benbow Inn. We will not likely choose again for our annual family trip. Very expensive.

Tri-plex with full Bath and shower..didn't have a tub. We called a head to inquire about a fire pit or grill. We were told that there was a shared grill for the 3 units that were attached and there was NOTHING so we had Nothing to cook on. A false wall in our unit 40-B was falling down and there were Earwigs and ants everywhere. The door had a gap @ bottom that let in light & air. NOT Worth the $$

We had a great time. We had a premium rv site and cabin #48. Cabin #48 is in need of repairs. For what is charged per night, I think they could repair a few things. The micowave has been melted by something. The door didn't close and the display (on/off) didn't work at all. The counter had formica chunks missing. The cabin just looks very tired.

Visiting grandchildren. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. Cabin was just fine but, for approximately $300/ night, its interior is beyond ready for an upgrade.

Awesome - will be back! Beautiful. Cabin 37 location and layout was perfect for us (two adults each with a 5/6 year old). Kids loved the playground and the river. This cabin had a few things to pick on: Stove takes a long time to get hot, difficult to cook on. Kitchen faucet is wonky - hard to figure out hot water setting. Bathtub plug was missing. Bed could use an upgrade (saggy in middle).

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling
