The Staff is wonderful and helpful. The Campground is clean and nice. My ONLY complaint was that although we had a 55 foot long space, it was fairly narrow. A minor complaint and we've been in more narrow. Overall we'd stay there again. Extra Kudos to the nice staff there.

The staff this time was great. Very friendly and helpful. But when you charge 90.00 a night the lawn should be mowed. There were huge holes in the lawn that was mud because of trailer trying to park. The picnic table was rotten. We really could not use it. Don't get me wrong - Benbow is only an hour away from us and it's great to go for the weekend but they really need to clean the park up.

We stayed in a triplex room. Clean, beautiful but overpriced for the tiniest room we’ve ever seen.

Everything was wonderful, great location for local sightseeing including Avenue of the Giants, Ferndale and the Drive thru Tree park. We would stay again for a quiet getaway.

A bit too tight for my 37’ 5th wheel. The streets are narrow & the trees too big. Ruined the edge of my roof trying to maneuver into our spot. There is not enough leaway by the time people park vehicles around.

The pool, arcade room and golf was a hit for all! The store was very convenient when I needed a salad or the kiddos needed a ice cream and just a very short walk to the beautiful Inn to have drinks with friends.

Initial site allocation was probably one of the worst very uneven and in a remote location when there half the campground was vacant. When we asked for a relocation a different office attendant offered us a selection to choose from. We selected a more suitable site that we received at no extra cost. Thank you.

For what I paid I could’ve gotten a cuter, cleaner, better stocked cabin or at least slept in a bed that didn’t make my back hurt. Don’t get me started on the pathetic mattress on the pull out couch. I won’t be coming back.

Our Cabins along the Eel River are also stocked with Pots, Pans, Plate Settings, Silverware and the like for about 8 people. Our guests often visit to see the Redwoods!

I felt the camp ground was nice and that the atmosphere created felt like the camping experience I hoped for. The reason I couldn’t give it higher ratings was the full hook ups left much to be desired. I had to change sites and both had very poor and outdated hookups. If this camp spot had new safer hookups it would easily be a 5 star and recommend of 10 new electric, cable, & water spigots.

Your accommodations were very thrifty and WAY TOO expensive. The staff were great and helped where possible but charging more than $250 a night, during the week off season was a rip off. If we weren't meeting people there we would have cancelled ang gone somewhere else. We tried to get a less expensive room but the only thing they had was $150 a night hole in the wall bed. Won't be back!

Wonderful location close to the Ave of The Giants Redwood trees. The park is nice & has a 9 hole golf course. The emoyees could not have been nices. There are maintenance issues though. Only 1 of the 4 showers was working. The road thought the park needs paving as well as the rv sites. The trees need to be pruned in many of the sites as branches & limbs are making parking hard. 1st site no power

It can be a beautiful place if they put more effort in cutting the grass, pulling weeds and trimming the edges...Looks like there trying to get the golf course back in shape..The site I was in had a huge mudding area all around the hookups it was a mess getting in and out...seems like there not making an effort to fix that situation...They just need more detail around there...

What a great campground! The staff is so, so friendly and the facilities are very clean. We were there for Easter weekend and it was raining, we had started setting up our family meal under a canopy and one of the employees opened a facility so we could eat in a dry place. The park and basketball court were great, and we loved being able to walk down to the river. We will definitely go back!

The folks we met at check-in were very friendly and helpful. Helped us find a good local restaurant, told us where to charge our car, etc. The bed in the small Kamping Kabin was uncomfortable, and although small the cabin fit our needs perfectly. Love the area.

water heater set too low, need a hot shower! Not anyones fault, but there was a kitten crying all night long. Kept me up. No nightstand or counter space. Had to leave my bags on the floor, not cool. Door stuck every time... almost got stuck inside

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling
