The staff at this KOA were very helpful and nice. The KOA has very few mature trees so not a lot of shade. The temperature when I checked in was 100 degrees. The staff very kindly found me a site with shade. The restaurant pizza was good and the morning smoothie I had was delicious. I truly think the only drawback is the lack of mature trees.

Thank you for staying with us. Unfortunately in the grasslands we have difficulty growing trees. We just purchased 300 trees from the conservation department to get more shade for our campers. We hope that this batch will survive the winter months of South Dakota.

Such a lovely park! And the people that run it were so nice. They even have food service & delivered to our RV! Nice trees & great dog runs. A real find!

You never have an issue with KOA when travelling across the country with 2 dogs!! Belvidere East/Exit 170 kampgrounds are extremely doggo-friendly. They have pet stations throughout the kampgrounds two K9 runs (big and lil doggos). They sites are extremely clean - we opted for one of their cabins and we couldn't have been happier. A+++

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the fresh salads they brought right to our RV. The restrooms were very good. Was conveniently located off I90.

Great sites with room to enjoy the Surroundings. Great for our dogs and the cafe items were great. Store was best supplied we have seen. Will be back.

This was a very clean, quiet, well managed Campground. Sites are well spaced, not on top of each other. The folks in the office were very friendly and helpful. There's an on site Cafe that has Pizza and salads and lots of other items. The Pizza was AMAZING. You call your order in and they deliver it to your site! Wonderful, relaxing place to stay with really nice people running it.

Nice quiet, shady, grassy site with bonfire pit and picnic table. Two options for clean showers/bathrooms nearby. Very friendly, available, and accommodating staff. Hot food/snacks delivery to our site was a nice treat! The kids also enjoyed the playground, although this was across the campground from our site. KOA is next to 1880's town, greaat 1st thing to do in the morning! Well stocked store.

Our tech-savvy crew would have happily assisted you while you were on-site and helped with troubleshooting the problem with getting cable reception in your RV. Always remember to turn off your Antenna booster & do a channel rescan at each camping location.

Our stay couldn’t have been better. Great level site, clean restrooms and showers. Friendly, helpful staff, (who returned my CC after leaving it in the CC machine) and to top it all off, an absolutely fabulous pizza!!!

Welcome host was very kind and helpful. The host driver was very helpful when parking our unit. The washroom not attached to the office requires some updating which includes a new water system in order to provide hot water for showers. Campsite was clean and very spacious. We ordered supper from the cafe and the food was amazing and delivery person was very polite.

we always ask for a lake side view. I have eaten from the kitchen both times good food nice not to cook after 600 plus on the road I always try to plan the miles to get here.

Great great! Everyone that is involved with this KOA are super. The park is clean, quiet and so convenient. Their homemade pizza, delivered to our site, was delicious. (They have a variety of dishes they make on site) Thank you!

Good campground, nice staff and good food. The night was very quiet. Only some washrooms need a little upgrading. Trashbags are collected, but it seems that there is no recycling.

The grounds were beautiful and well kept. His plans for the future and improvements if a pool, etc, only will enhance how nice it already is. The owners hospitality was unmatched to any other KOA we’ve stayed at. We got in after closing, the owner made an effort to come up, help us out, even opened the store so we could buy some necessities. Totally went out of his way to help out and be friendl

Very nice, especially for a KOA Journey. Spots were wide and long enough to accommodate our 42 foot fifth wheel and dually with no problem. Campground is close to I90 but very little highway noise. Staff was friendly and park is well maintained. 45 minutes to Badlands and just down the street from 1880 Town. We really enjoyed our visit here.

Thank you so much, we spent 2 weeks there and loved everything and everyone was so nice and very helpful. We will definitely be back. Maybe for longer. Great place, Great people. The peace and quiet after a hard day's ride was definitely needed.

We stayed four days at $72.00 per night which we got no discounts veteran aarp or senior which I felt for being out in the sun was way over priced.Cable didn't work and no pool or any thing going on there was a restraunt on site we didn't use which would have been nice to have if need, distance to attractions except 1880 Hugh was very very nice enjoyed talking with him. Sorry for your disappointment with our campground. We do offer a veterans discount if we are told about your military status during the check-in or registration process. We would have loved to have known about the cable problem during your stay and could have addressed it for your stay.

Of the five or so KOA's along western South Dakota along I-90 this is your best choice especially if you are car/tent camping. Many of the campgrounds along I- 90 here are not much more than parking lots for RV's. We found this KOA superior in many ways. This WAS supposed to be our stop for the gateway to the Black Hills. Unfortunately, we ran out of daylight a 100 miles eastward. So we visited in the early morning before anyone was awake. It was mostly empty as we were in the very early part of the season but it was evident we had missed out on a great campground. We visited May 2023.

What a great overnight stay. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and helpful. They also serve dinner delivered to the RV...my wife is STILL raving about the spaghetti. 1880 Old Town in just down the road and well worth a visit.
