We were greeted by Robert and Lisa, the owners of the campground. Very nice couple who also have a to go restaurant on property. They will deliver food to your camper, which is a plus. The office has a well stocked store. The sites are gravel and ours was very level. Lots of grass and areas to walk the dogs. Close to freeway, but no traffic noise. Will definitely stay here again!

The owners was spuket nice. Answered a bunch of questions about the area . Shared some of the places they have visited and camped at. Some do’s and don’t in some places. Definitely if in the area would go back there

We stopped for the night only while traveling through. We used the laundry, which had a change machine, it was clean and adequate. The park was easy to get to, and setting up was easy. Keep your trailer tight with no open windows in early May. We were invaded by midges from the nearby pond. It took me 3 days to vacuum them out of the trailer. The owners/staff might have warned us.

Well kept, well run campground near Badlands National Park. Staff was very helpful and gave exemplary customer service. If you need a place to stay in the area,, this is the place.

Mosquitos were so bad at night when we opened our trailer door to take our dog out the swarmed in to the lights inside our trailer, spent our an hour killing them so we could go to bed, they also got into the screens on the windows, it was a nightmare!!!

The most unattractive and dilapidated KOA we have ever stayed at. Most KOA’s take great pride in their appearance. This one does not.

We woke up to no running water, we left before the office opened and could not come in to let you know. We checked the sites around us and they had no running water as well. Location was great and not to close to the interstate. Have a great summer!

Loved this place- we felt connected to the Earth here, even though we were in a KOA parking spot with all the services.Sunset over the water and plains was beautiful. The most unexpected pleasure is the hidden gem of a on site cooked to order restaurant!!! And delivery to your camper door—Next time we are in South Dakota we will stop for pleasant staff and great food

Very nicely kept park, great gift shop and super friendly hosts. Beautiful prairie sunsets. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again if we are in the area.

Great Journey KOA, I recommend spending 2 nights here so you can see the 1880's town. Very cool collection of antiques and Dances with Wolf's movie collection.

this is our second stay at this campground and both times were very pleasant and enjoyable. the owners were very accommodating and let us stay an extra day due to the winds. The store had a variety of goods for sale and the restaurant food was good and delivered to our campsite. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Will stay at this campground again when traveling thru South Dakota.

We were only there one night but we wished we could have stayed longer. The owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. We ordered food for dinner. They delivered to our sight. It was excellent and so convenient!

This KOA is so nice and the people are very accommodating! We were traveling across the country with a truck and large trailer full of our household items. We needed a campground close to the interstate that had room for the trailer without charging us for an RV site (we were sleeping in a tent). They were more than happy to charge us the tent site price and give us room for our trailer. Thankful!

The staff was fantastic! Friendly and helpful. BTW the double bed in Kabin 5 is not level. The head is lower than the foot.

There is water to look at but they face you the opposite direction so it’s not your view. Not full hook up at site. Great pizza at site. Nice K9 Kamp. I watched two people in bright yellow coats not pick up their dogs waste.

I really had a wonderful time! The staff were so helpful, kind and only yelled at me twice for going over 5 mph in the driveway! This was my first time camping and I will always remember the kindness of the staff. Thank you.

Quiet and spacious. Wifi works well. Understanding hosts that let me check out early due to the overwhelming heat (105 degrees). Please fix the latch on the door of Cabin 4 (I believe) as the wind blows it open. Without a screen door, it is easy for animals to get out. Bring anything you need. Little amenities close by.

Of the five or so KOA's along western South Dakota along I-90 this is your best choice especially if you are car/tent camping. Many of the campgrounds along I- 90 here are not much more than parking lots for RV's. We found this KOA superior in many ways. This WAS supposed to be our stop for the gateway to the Black Hills. Unfortunately, we ran out of daylight a 100 miles eastward. So we visited in the early morning before anyone was awake. It was mostly empty as we were in the very early part of the season but it was evident we had missed out on a great campground. We visited May 2023.

What a great overnight stay. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and helpful. They also serve dinner delivered to the RV...my wife is STILL raving about the spaghetti. 1880 Old Town in just down the road and well worth a visit.
