Campground Specific Cancellation Policy

Belvidere East KOA - Holiday & Special Events Cancellation Policy

Belvidere East/Exit 170 KOA has a separate cancellation policy that applies for Holidays, Weekends, Stays over 5 days, and during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

  • During the dates listed below, a non-refundable deposit will be taken for the reservation. 
  • No refunds will be issued for early departures.



The following days are included in the separate cancellation policy:

  • MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND      (May 23-25)   
  • 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND    ( July 3-6)
  • 86th STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY    (August 1 - 20)
    • A deposit for the entire stay will be required at booking.
    • No refunds for cancellations or early departures for these reservations.
  • LABOR DAY WEEKEND    (September 5-7)
  • EXTENDED STAYS    (Over 5 days, less than 28 days)
    • A non-refundable deposit of $150.00 will be required on stays over 5 days but less than 28 days.
    • No refunds for cancellations or early departures

National Cancellation Guideline

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the campground before the deadlines below to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $20 administrative cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations will not be accepted.

Cancellation Deadlines:

  • RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., seven days before your scheduled arrival.
  • Lodging & Accommodations: You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., fourteen days before your scheduled arrival.

For guests booking accommodations in California, a full refund will be given for reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking, provided the arrival date is at least 72 hours after the time of booking.

Cancellation Details:

  • Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.
  • Cancellations made after the deadlines will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
  • No refunds are given due to the discomforts of nature, including no-shows and early checkouts.
  • No refunds are given on or after the arrival date.
  • Refunds will be processed using the original credit/debit card, with no exceptions.
  • The cancellation policy may be amended during a Regional/National travel disruption.
  • Holidays and special events may have unique deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Please check with your selected KOA for details.
