The only thing detrimental to this facility is the dirt. Dirt is everywhere. The owners should consider bringing in gravel to keep the dust problem under control. Otherwise a friendly staff, good stuff in the store, and easy in and out.

They have spruced up the place since we stayed 5-6 years ago. Long level pull through. Park is tidy and neat. Friendly staff, nice little store up front. Playground, dog park, playground, all good. Easy on off freeway and easy to maneuver around the park with our big rig.

The bathrooms were not well kept at all, one was stopped up with poop, 2 had no paper. The shower was ok but needed a good cleaning.

1 of 3 men's showers worked. Could use more shade in the spot we were in. Really nice general store. Freeway noise was loud.

The place was very clean. Great CLEAN laundry ROOM. The help were very Helpful and Mr. Mike was very helpful in trying to help fine my lost license.. Witch was fun by a manager a few hours after we left. Thanks .we will be definitely coming back.

The Kampground cabin my dog and myself stayed in was great! but being so close to freeway not so great. The noise from roads especially in pool area was distracting and couldnt hear music that was piped in..oh well We took 2 daily walks thru out kampground was very nice and the fence dog area a plus plus..so he could do his business.

Even though this is right off the highway – I like staying here because the pool is clean, the water is cool, the store/office has just about anything you could ever want or need and the park is very well-kept. The bathrooms and showers are also very clean and the staff are very nice as well.

Stayed 5 nights had a great time. Very friendly staff, nice size sites, nice walks in the desert. Also received outstanding rv tech / maintenance support from The Weekend Hero Mobile RV Repair team!!!

The little cabin was the perfect home for the night with the temperatures over 100 degrees. The only issues were that it could have used a bit more cleaning before I arrived (it was a little dusty) and the water pressure was quite poor (not enough to get the water to move up to the shower head). But I was VERY happy to have a cool place to lay my head for the night.

Nice campground, however, we would not stay again. The reason being that there are Oleanders (poisonous bushes) all around the entire campground, including each and every camping spot. Not safe for our children or our pets.

Il campeggio è piccolo ma ben fornito, bella la piscina, bella la lavanderia, la maggior parte delle piazzole sono ombreggiate, ma a noi ne hanno data una delle poche al sole. Trascorrendo solo una notte di passaggio nn abbiamo chiesto il cambio. Valore aggiunto il campo da basjket

The campground was a good last stay on our way back to Las Vegas. It was pretty expensive, though, for not much service. The toilets are old, the camping spots (tent only) do not have much shade (especially in the morning). There is the possibility for late check-in, though. All in all, we have booked similar campgrounds in California for much less money (10-40$ per night).

When traveling between the west coast and Las Vegas and New Mexico, the Barstow/Calico KOA is always our preferred point to rest.

We were amazed at the thought put into this KOA. In the desert, yet each site has been surrounded by beautiful trees like a canopy. Even the trash bins are in attractive enclosures and the doggie bags with disposal are located nearby all sites. The camp store is well stocked and big variety of necessities and gifts. We only stayed one night passing through but would definitely stay there again. A+

They were able to add two additional nights due to the hurricane we got in San Diego. We did have a problem day of check out. When my husband started emptying our tanks the fixture was damaged and dumped black water. The unit was clogged and would drain, so we had to cap off full hoses and transport to the dump station to empty. Cleanup the area and add bleach to disinfect the space .

Stayed in Barstow Calico during Hurricane Hilary and survived! Staff was attentive and accommodating. We experienced a slow sewer connection, probably due to the heavy rainfall. Power was on and off again several times. But all in all, a shelter in the Storm, and after all isn't life about learning to dance in the rain?

Everything was Great! from Check in to Check out. We will definitely make this our stop over when we head that way again. # rows of very mature shade trees are a +. Definitely improved grounds & facilities from our stay5 or 6 years ago! Thanks!

Layover on our way to San Diego and back home, due to Hurricane Hilary Barstow KOA was able to extend our stop over going home from 1 day to 3. We Left San Diego because of flood warnings and can't go home due to flash flooding. These folks are awesome.

The plumbing was old and leaking at the site. Lack of lights in the restrooms, and paper rolls were missing, showers looked dark. But enough space. Poisonous plants on site.

Great location! Very nice campground. Office is stocked well. Camp site is pull thru and very clean! Great campground! Dale was so helpful! We are grateful to him. We had trouble with our truck getting stuck and Dale was so kind and helped!

Large pull in sites. Clean and quiet park. Close to Calico Ghost Town and off road 4x4 park. Easy on and off the Freeway. Motorhomes can be re-fueled just up the road.
