Would have liked paper towels available in the bathroom to wipe down the sink area before & after using; also, would have been nice to have a light in outside sink area as it makes it difficult to wash dishes when getting dark outside!!

The dome was great. The $5/person visiting fee for just coming to the campsite is a little steep. I think it should be $5/person before a certain time and then just $5 per car or up to two people after dinner since quiet hours are at 10. Other than that everything was great.

Small sites, too close to seasonal people that have no regard to park rules, restaurant was great though, all in all disappointed

We add no complaints from anyone else about other customers. When you check in we tell you if you need anything to call us. We can not fix something if we do not know a problem exists. the closets seasonal you were next to we never had a problem with.

Convenient location. Site was big enough for our vehicles. Was a little tight when the neighbor showed up but still enough. Food delivery for lunch and dinner. Ice cream shop on property and nice gift shop. Everyone who worked there was pleasant… Will definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at this campground. The owners and the staff were always friendly and willing to help, in any way possible, so that our stay would be enjoyable. This campground is such a pretty and relaxing place to be and we loved that they delivered our food right to our site. Room service in the woods! It doesn’t get any better! � We look forward to our next visit!

Good - pleasant and helpful staff, spotless restrooms, nice store and on site restaurant, power hookups in good condition. water pressure also good, overall well maintained Not Good - located on main Acadia access route; dangerous entrance and exit due to heavy traffic, road noise, bright lights from other campers and street lights, jet aircraft noise in early morning, sites too close even for KO

Not sure where you come up with bright light. Also we are not on the flight path to the airport 10 miles away, not sure how you heard planes.

Our lot was very uneven, very difficult to get the camper level. The camp sites were very small, our slideout almost touched the neighbors slideout. TV reception was poor, cable was not good very fuzzy.

As we told you when you left and told us about the Cable. You needed to be using the digital stations and not the analog stations, which are clearly marked on the map. I guess you thought we were lying.

The campsite that we had were niot at the KOA standard. Plus we wnted a site without service and the owner told us that there was none. Aftereward we saw on the map that there were some tent site that we could have used.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

you were on a 65" deep lot by 25" wide lot. Not sure why that was not up to standards. You had a van and we do not let you drive vans onto a tent site. We booked you on a water and electric site which is the minimum site for a van.

Campground was nice, well maintained. The front office was terrific, friendly and helpful. Chris was very nice and they made great pizzas. Would definitely stay again.

Arrived at the campground 2 hours before check in time. No problem for Chris and his staff. Pizza’s outstanding. Entire staff was excellent. This place does it right.

Staff is very nice and helpful. While my hookup was fine, there is a problem with the electrical box, no cover. This might have been an issue in bad weather, so I reported it. See you next year!

1) 2 night minimum for events weekend ( every weekend is an event weekend in bangor). Couldn’t make it the first night and could not get a refund. 2) my son wanted to come but couldn’t put a small pop up tent on our site. We already paid for two nights and would have had to pay for 2 more nights in order for him to come. 3) our tent site was on a hill with 3/6 on level ground not being used.

1) when you booked you were aware of a 2 night Min. with a 2 night min why would we give you a refund. 2) our rules clearly state no additional tents on a site, & again it was a 2 night min.3) your tent was not on a hill. Why lie becuase you did not get your way?

We’ve not enjoyed virtually any koa or other camp site as much as Holden! Every employee responds as if he/she were the owners and wanted/needed to make our visit the BEST! The food, from bagels, to pizza, to lobster rolls was superb. The gift shop.. amazing! Choices beyond belief of gifts, needs, wants, didn’t know I needed but wanted..etc fabulous! KOA corp should take lessons from these own

I wanted to like this KOA, but just can’t! Our site was so tight, I could reach out my living room window and touch the neighbors slide. Our site was so unlevel, I put two leveling blocks under both my front tires, yet our RV was still low on the front end. Employee at the front desk refused to honor my rewards points for a $50 credit. If all KOA’s were like this one, I would never stay again!

You came in the day after check in on the way out & wanted to use your rewards then. I explained that we need to do it the same day. Because of that you want to lie about the site. You were on a 130' long site which is level and you didn't use leveling blocks. Not sure how a 130' long site is tight!

Convenient location. Nice site. Firewood was so wet, water squirted out when I was splitting it. No hope of starting a fire.

As a family we rented 2 camp sites. A tent and the deluxe cabin, for the 8 of us. We had the best weekend!! Campground was kept clean, bath house was always clean, staff was friendly, and plenty of activities to keep us busy. Great way to end our summer!

The camper we rented and stayed in was decent. The pull out bed was broken and was on an angle that would not allow for anyone to sleep on it. We had to get an air mattress for two people to sleep on the floor for the weekend. It was slightly disappointing but we made the best of it anyways. Overall the campground was nice.

4 days in a Class A, in a pull through. CG was well kept and pool was clean. Dog runs small and needed maint. Our primary problem with this CG was power, but the voltage was unstable, ranging from 99-127V. Power dropped out one day and we could not use A/C that day. The high temps were in the mid 70s and the CG has a lot of trees. Due to little breeze, the CG got quite smoky at night.

The laundry facility was in poor shape with only two functional dryers making a huge racket. One bath house was unavailable and the other was clean, but pretty beat up. The (long term?) campsite behind ours was kinda trashy with a bunch of Trump paraphernalia on public display. There was only a 30A receptacle available on site, so I had to purchase an adapter to plug in my 15A extension cord.

Was a nice clean campground. I would recommend lighting of some kind for the walkway to Dome tent. Service in canteen was wonderful.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time while staying at this campground! The owners and the staff were so friendly and attentive to our every need! Excellent food from their Pizza Cafe and yummy ice cream from Holden A Kone. We hope to get back this way again next summer!

We had the most wonderful experience at this specific KOA site. Chris was extremely hospitable and gave amazing recommendations for things to do in the area during our short stay! The restrooms/showers were extremely clean. If we ever return to the area, we will for sure camp here again. Also, get the homemade NY style pizza if you're looking for great food!

We had a wonderful stay in one of their domes. The owners and staff were so welcoming and helpful. We loved the store, the ice cream was delicious, and my kids loved the mining. We can’t wait to go back again!

Everyone was very friendly, the activities were numerous and kept an 8 year old busy and very excited to be there. She went trick and treating, road in a fire truck, had fun on the slip&slide, had s’mores and bonfire in the evening. She loved all the dogs. The pizza was excellent. The rest room was spotless. I would recommend this KOA for family fun.

Lovely spot, right off the hwy, very friendly staff. Lovely gift shop. They are upgrading laundry only one dryer working properly. There is a sm takeout which I thought was pretty neat even if we didn’t use it.overall a very clean quiet park with lots of activities for kids. Nice pool.

My wife is a travel nurse we have been here for 2 months now and it's a great KOA. Under new management and hands down the best campground in Bangor (yes we went to others and looked around) they are extremely friendly and treat everyone as if your family and are willing to help you out in any way. They have a cafe and the pizza is delicious and there ice cream is amazing. The main store is always stocked and they have a really nice playground and jump pad for the kids. The staff are great and will help you if you need it and they work really hard to keep the campground clean and in tiptop shape. If you ever been here before and have experienced the horrible manager before trust me it's a night and day difference, you have to come back and see just how great the KOA is now. Kayla is amazing and always willing to help. We will definitely be back.

I was a guest here in 2022 & it was HORRIBLE, bedbugs in our room, campfires LITERALLY on top of each other, the Wi-Fi was intermittent at best & my Uncle's A/C failed due to power issues, we LEFT on our 3rd day for another campsite. That was THEN, NOW it's an ENTIRELY new XP & the facilities / utilities have been upgraded to industry standards! If you want to track down the douchebag mgt. who ruined your stays here, took your deposits & REFUSED to refund & lied & cheated you out of your vacations, I was told they moved to Fernandina Beach in N. Florida . . SEND them a post card, or a subpoena. Those scavengers are straight out of that old movie Take the Money & Run

The place is Under New Management and been sold. Much much better atmosphere no more dealing with Chris and his big mouth and Lauren and her lying about it everything you ask her about. If you were treated badly here before trust me it was because of the management. The new owners have totally changed the way things are around here. It's really too bad that Chris and Lauren pretty much ruined this place's reputation and made it so a lot of people would never go back including us. I went to visit my cousin and when the manager found out we were there. She came over and told us we were welcome to come back anytime they would be glad to have us. Would highly recommend you try it again I know you will have a much better experience.
