We loved everything about this KOA. This was our first time ever camping as a family and we are so glad to have had that experience at KOA badlands/white river.

Extremely helpful camp host! They were so helpful upon arrival, guided us to our site and even brought firewood for our campfire. They told us about everything available at the campground and were always waving and smiling when they passed our site too.

The site was very nice and the included pancake breakfast helped us start our second day in the Badlands early and well fed. The showers and bathrooms were very clean and check-in was easy and flexible, which was helpful as we were on a cross-country road trip and timing wasn't always exact.

Great amenities - such as the laundry, showers, on-site food shack and pavilion to sit and eat in. I think the only thing that I noticed was weak in the arsenal would be the selection in the on-site store. Could use more food selection for convenience?

Well maintained amenities. Bathrooms were very clean. Food was ok. There were a lot of empty tent camping spots but the occupied ones were close together, so it would be nice to spread out the reservations a bit more

We liked the campground, thought there need to be more showers/rest rooms as there were lines morning, even very early, and even late at night (I was in line at 10pm and 5am both!). Staff are terrific. There was an incident involving 2 women that included hours of arguing violently, sobbing, and eventually an EMS rescue. Throughout this chaotic time, staff on top of everything and supportive.

I am so sorry you had a thumbs down for us. A campground makes for 3 bath houses that are very busy.

Nice, remote but conveniently located campground with friendly helpful staff that is well kept and clean. Very surprised at the selection of food available for purchase and loved the free pancakes for breakfast.

Sites too close together, very little privacy but the tree cover provided good shade on hot days. If in area again would stay here.

Thank you for the review. Yes, the tent site you were on is a great one for shade. Next time we can place you on a bigger site if you prefer, just let us know while you are here and we can switch you to a different site in order to make your stay a Great Stay.

Always a nice campground to stay at. I come 2-3 times a year and I'm never disappointed.

A nice quiet campground close to the Badlands National Park. Spacious campsites and with 3 shower houses/bathrooms, every spot is close to the restrooms.

This KOA had the friendliest and most helpful staff and made our stay very comfortable. The camp was well organized and they had options for limited breakfast which was a huge plus in a remote area like the Badlands. I would have given the camp 5 stars, but the bathroom/showers were not as clean as several other campgrounds that I have stayed at. Otherwise, one of the nicest KOAs I've visited.

Pool was green. Mini gold was old. River was nice. Bathrooms were medium clean.

We stayed at KOA badlands over Labor Day Weekend, had a great time tent camping with our dog with us! The campground stuff was very friendly, and even let us switch around our sites to have more shade. The facilities were clean, and the breakfast/dinner shack on site is super convenient. Definitely will stay again if we are back in the area!

Horrible, the staff inside the shack was rude, tent site reeked of sewer, 9$ a bundle firewood, showers were brown with dark black spots on caulk, the mini-golf had a wasp nest that stung a child in-front of us. There was a thunder storm that flooded our tent with a metal tower right next to us. We ended up sleeping in the car and didn’t use the second night there. Do not stay unless in a campe

I absolutely loved this nice little park. We didn't use the amenities because we came to visit the Badlands. We spent several days sightseeing the park and it was very much worth the time and money to stay here. Everyone we met was super friendly and welcoming! Grant it, I'm writing this review a year later, but it's still fresh in my memory! Thank you for such a wonderful site and a great vacation spot!

Wow! We arrived late and so happy to find a beautiful site. Very clean, quiet campground. Highly recommend if visiting the Badlands area. We spent 3 days and it was a great experience. Highly recommend the breakfast pancakes!

3.5 stars - CABIN A/C UNIT DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. It was a very hot outside (99) but for the price of cabins, the property owner(s) needs to invest in adequate units that are larger and work for weather extremes or store industrial fans for open window air movement. Getting up every two hours, to kick start an a/c unit, after being on the road for twelve hours, is NOT fun. :( The employees/management are very nice and the property is kept very clean. Bath-house (near) cabins was sparkling clean, which is always a big plus.
