Closest to I-90 Exit 131: SD 240 south 9 miles to Badlands National Park Visitor Center, left on SD 377, then 2 miles to the town of Interior, left on East Highway 44 E (paved highway across from the gas station), 4 miles, on left.
Scenic route from east: Traveling through the Rosebud and Pine Ridge reservations provide a scenic travel route.
Scenic route from west: I-90 Exit 61. Turn right 6 miles to SD Hwy 44. Exit on right, turn right at light. 70 miles to Interior, turn right to stay on SD 44, KOA is on the left, 4 miles past town of Interior. Watch your speed, there are bumps. Not recommended for RVs.

Get Google DirectionsThe Kook Shack offers a wide variety of home cooked meals to get your day started and to help you relax after a day of exploring. The "Shack" is open Wednesday through Sunday for breakfast from 7 - 9:00 a.m. Dinner is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5 pm - 8 p.m. We offer pancakes, bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Each guest will receive 2 complementary pancakes one morning of your stay. Daily specials are available for dinner, check out the "special" board when you check in, or come to the office and look to see what the nights special will be. Or there is always Pizza available. . You will not need to go far for a home cooked meal while staying in the Badlands.
