Not bad. Would have been preferable to stay in the space we had been in for 3 nights instead of moving for 1 night. Understand it was a holiday but geez not good. Other people had complaints about moving also.

Love this KOA. The activities for kids, the fire pit greeting upon driving up, the country store and the happy atmosphere is worth the resort fee. The place is extremely well maintained and the two pools rock.

It was very clean with plenty of activities. Maybe focus a little more on quite hours. We had a few dozen noisy kids out after 11:30.

Our cabin KS07 cabin was dirty when we arrived on 9/1/17. It took over an hour for us to wait to have it cleaned before we could move in. Our kids were hungry and tired and had to use the bathroom but there wasn't anything we could do. We asked to have one of our three nights reimbursed and were shocked that the manager was only willing to reimburse HALF a night for all the trouble.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Ms. Fujioka thank you for the review. Your concerns have been documented in your profile and the reason you did not get the free night was another clean cabin was available for occupancy but turned down. As far as the initial cabin being dirty we can do better on that.

The "newer" camping area was like staying at some kind of festival in a field. The campers next to us kept me awake partying until 2:30 am. There were way too many dogs, being a camper with no dog and being near the dog park and at the first light of day, dogs start barking non stop. Lots of things out of order, vehicles driving way fast all the time. Pathways needed! Bigger is not always better!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Ms. Chorney from BC, Thank you for the comments and concerns. They have been documented for future reference and ideas on how we can do better.

Over the past 3 years we have been camping in the Premium cites (134), I have been VERY disappointed that this KOA has failed to properly maintain these cites and the hot tub. For the costs charged, I think mgt. should fill low spots and cover up tree roots with dirt and make improvements so water doesnt flow into cites. Hot tub being OVERLY treated with chlorine to point of burning eyes.

Very good stay. Although I could not get on the internet. Very disappointed in that. It always kicked me out. Very clean facility. Nice amenities. Breakfast: Free pancakes were good. The biscuit and gravy were not good. The cook used old grease and the eggs were over cooked. But all in all I would recommend the KOA. We will come again.

Always a great stay in Astoria. Great location and the staff is always friendly and helpful!

What an amazing vacation! There was so much to do and I loved that there were so many family activities to do, like the movies, the chess and checker boards, the dance... We had so much fun! We can't wait until we can come back!!

Awesome! Clean facilities, helpful staff, and lots to do!

Great place, very clean. Alot of people......more seclusion and less sights for more space per site woiluld be nice. Seems most rv sites now a days give less privacy to get more ppl (sardenes), bc of course thats more money for the owners. I honestly don't have anything bad to say bc most everywhere you camp that has hookups is set up like this which makes it really sad

It was great!!!!
Sep 04, 2017
I will never stay at any KOA again, because of the experience we had at your camp.
Sep 04, 2017
Terrible WiFi. So many access points and we couldn't connect most of the time. Call me. I manage the Hinton-Jasper KOA WiFi, it works flawlessly. Call them for a reference. I can help you out. Otherwise, great facilities. The pool was late to open in the morning quite often as well. Pancake breakfasts were great. Dog friendliness is always a big hit with us.
Sep 04, 2017
Overpriced from the reservation to the camp store, and underwhelming in it's services. Could not log onto wifi even once in the 2 days onsite, which is most difficult for travelers from Europe, since we cannot avail of mobile data, unlike most of the US visitors in the park who were hogging the connections. Free pancakes, hurray, but we did not eat them, as they were quite poor in quality & taste.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

mr. Oneill from Ireland, thank you for your comments and concerns. We are looking into the issues you mentioned and will work on making things better.

Your staff was very unaccommodating and difficult to deal with. He was the older gentlemen, I think his name was Ken. Please do display these comments on KOA.com.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Mr. Sheridan from Utah thank you for your comments that you posted twice on KOA. Your profile has been updated to reflect your concerns. The gentleman in question has been talked too. We can do better.

Staff was great and on top of cleaning and other activities. Pancakes and food were great too. Kids were disappointed about bouncy bag. Would recommend that speed bumps put in on the main driveways that seem to allow for speeders to race in and out. Also noticed ones with dogs that were not kept on leashes. Was nice to get away from the smoke for a few days and see the sun again. thank you

The earthed was great and really enjoyed the pancakes and all the yellow shirt people were very friendly and helpful. It is a place we will certainly visit again
Sep 03, 2017
Everything was wonderful with the exception of the pools. They were very cloudy and we did not allow our grandchildren to swim because of this. We have had pools and we know that this is a problem with balance in the chemicals.

Only problem was at check in-I am a disabled vet and showed my VA card to clerk and did not get the discount. We stayed one more day and I mentioned it again and got it for 2 for night but could not retro for previous night. The clerk at check in was very knowledgeable but went so fast through the map and rules and it was loud in there that I felt rushed and pushed because it was busy.

great stay at this koa, will recommend it to all of our camping friends.
Sep 03, 2017
Campground was full and very busy. Generally not a problem for us. We were given the worst spot in the yard. Downhill slope to the forest, uneven and sandy. NOT worth over $200.00 for 3 nights! Looked across the street at the state campground and found it to be much nicer. We had originally booked 4 nights but luckily were mistakenly given 3 nights. Later! - never again!

We had a very enjoyable time. The only thing I would like to see changed is that the resort fee of 10 dollars is waived for anyone over the age of 62.We didn't use any of the kids facilities including the pool since we were there to go fishing for the 18 days with no kids.If no waiver, there should an early opening for pancakes for the fishermen. 7 am is too late 4pancakes!! We love the KOA though!

Have stayed here many times. For the nightly cost I would expect more campsite upgrades. Again we had trouble with the waste water discharge being too high. Fortunately we were able to move to a good site. I made a reservation in early January of this year. Did not get the site I reserved.

Don't advertise free WIFI when it doesn't work. Pool could have used better cleaning service, the amount of hair in the outdoor pool was gross. Why free coffee at breakfast but not tea? Toasters should be provided in the cabins or at least toast for sale at breakfast. I texted for new towels and never heard back. Other than that it was great. More recycling stations needed.

Had a nice stay. The only issue I had was the water faucet leaked and needed replacing. Maintenance. tried to repair it but said they did not have a replacement. He made it worse by stripping the threads where my hose attached and it leaked all day and night. No spare faucet in this size park ..??. Home Depot is just a short distance and it is a standard faucet.

One of best koas that we have visited! Our stay was only one night so we didn't have the opportunity to use the many awesome amenities.

No grass dirt or mud mainly. Dog area all dirt and no light for dark times. What was green was a sticker plant my husband had to crawl thru to get at our grey valve. Dogs got them in feet. Kids on bikes going so fast they nearly hit my dog and impossible to stop if they flew in front of you. Filthy place I am disgusted a huge chain cant provide better camping. Wont pay for this ever again!

Great for kiddos and safe environment for them. Was 200$ more than estimate given me so that was unexpected. The coffee pot didn't work, shower ran out of cold water really fast, the fridge froze our food, and floor was really dirty upon arrival. So, lesson for me is request different cabin next year or get my own RV. For the 1200$+ that we paid I was pretty dissatisfied.

This is a great place with lots of family activities, friendly staff and a great location. The only things that we didn't like was the noise from the gravel roads, our site had pot holes near the fire pit and around the sitting area which could have been filled in. The cost was pretty high in comparison to other campgrounds.

Our stay was great with one exception. On Thursday, August 31st we moved to another campsite (#113) so that we could extend our stay another night. However, upon setting up camp we discovered SIX piles of dog poo in the grassy area of our site. Needless to say it was very disappointing and unpleasant to have to clean up after other people's dogs before we could enjoy our time. :(
Sep 01, 2017
We had a great time! Staff was friendly and helpful. A few areas need updating, but overall it's a fun, family campground ð
Sep 01, 2017
The site was ok. Had a little problem with motor homes coming around the corner and almost running into our awning. Also, there were quite a few patrons that drove much too fast as there were many children riding bikes and crossing the streets. I think that it might be helpful if they added speed bumps on the streets in the campground to slow the vehicles down.

Awesome staff, facilities and Site.
Sep 01, 2017
Perfectly warm, kind, polite personnel. Stunning setting with so much to enjoy--Lakes, Beaches, Batteries and so much history. The deep woods and clever settings for the cabins--just great. Our luxury cabin was a great treat with linens and all of the comforts.

We love Warrenton Koa. Kids were sad there was no jump pillow. The blow up held sand and water in spots, so the kids didn't like it as much.
Sep 01, 2017
It was great. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and the campground is so clean. We particularly liked the the young man at the restaurant in the evening (Mikel). Very nice employee. We will continue to come back.

This is our favorite koa! Wonderful staff, beautiful and well-maintained grounds, and full amenities makes camping easy, fun, and relaxing.
