We LOVE this quaint little campground when we drive to SC. It's so quiet even though it's tucked in off the highway. The spots are spacious & your neighbor isn't right on top of you. We would appreciate the site lights working though (I do understand they shine into your camper though). I may recommend a larger sign pointing guests to it, it can be fairly dark coming in at night. We'll be back

Thanks for your nice review. We will be adding some more lights to the entrance this season, and are installing some bigger flags as well after the flag post had been damaged during a storm.

Nice park, close to Highway but little noise. Sites fairly level. Staff super nice. If coming from highway signage is OK. However if coming from north the only sign is half a mile past entrance saying you missed entrance. And no where to turn a big rig around.

Thanks for your review. The signage coming from the North is a challenge as the state won't allow the regular KOA sign there. There is a sign, but smaller than the regular signs and not yellow. It helps that most travelers nowadays can rely on their GPS as well.

We were in the area to visit friends so we did not get much of a chance to enjoy the campground as much as we would have liked. But what little we did, we enjoyed!! We will be back when we are in the area!

I stayed in a Deluxe Cabin for my 1 night stay. This was wonderful! Clean and updated. The bed was comfy and the K-9 area perfect for my dog. I would always recommend getting Deluxe Cabin with the bathroom as it's just a very nice convenience.

We appreciate your nice comments. All our cabins and rental RVs have bathrooms, and there are the public bathrooms as well. Most of our guests have dogs and the dog runs are a popular item.

Overall a nice campground but seems to have a lot of extended stay campers that don’t keep things picked up or neat. Looks a little trashy. They should be in their own area.

At times we do have a number of extended stay and some (although rarely) we need to nudge to clean up. However most stay at the other half of the campground far from where vacationers stay, who are closer to the facilities such as pool, mini golf etc

A nice facility, but: 1) Picnic table had been moved from our site to an adjacent site. It was obvious and staff should have corrected before our arrival. 2) A lot of small trash and debris left on site by previous campers. 3) Worst of all: I had to clean up multiple piles of dog doo before I could hook up utilities. Come on folks, if you are going to travel with animals clean up after them!

Sorry for the condition of your site. We inspect all our sites, but sometimes one gets missed. Bring it to our attention and our staff will fix it asap. I agree, guests should clean up after their dogs. Our K9 dog runs have doggy bags as well.

This a nice campground easily accessible off of exit #179 on I-79. Very nice setting. We rated this KOA 5 stars even though we had some site problems. We were all set up and had to change sites due to the issues that came up. Problems do occur and we understand this can happen. The reason for the 5 stars is Patty, the manager of the CG. She made things right quickly and we were very appreciative.

Thanks for your nice review. As you say sometimes issues pop up. We generally are able to fix them on site due to our great crew, although rarely we may have to move you. We agree, we do have one of the best managers!

We had a great time. It was clean park. It was quiet.

Good that you had a great time! Even though the property is 50 acres, our crew keeps it clean and the grass trimmed. We are less than a mile from the highway, but still very quiet!

Well managed property, but the site we stayed at was a deluxe site with patio, fire pit and gas grill. Fire pit was full of ashes and grill was extremely dirty and full of grease. Grounds are maintained.

Thanks for your comments. During the busy months it can be hard for groundskeeping to keep up with keeping each site in great condition. Fire pits and grills are popular items. We try our best. One day they may invent something to just woosh a grill clean.

Just an overnight. Positioned very near the exit. Lots of traffic noise in the early morning by Long term people. The majority seemed to have loud mufflers and appeared to enjoy hearing them. Other than that, everything was great.

Thanks for your review. Although you can't hear the highway, sometimes travelers leave early in the morning on their trip. Long term guests generally exit the campground without driving through the main portion. But sometimes a guest with a diesel will go wrong way up the hill instead.

Overall a nice facility. Staff was very friendly. Maneuverability was a bit tight. Pull-thru site was nice, gravel, but had a nice paver patio, with chairs, table, & gas grill!

We stopped by to check out the campground on the way home from Tenn. Since we were only there overnight it is hard to comment on alot. We would like to stay again in the older part that has trees, we were at site 15 and it was pretty bare all aroud us. The wi-fi needs improved, the service was sketchy, the same for cable.

We enjoyed staying at this KOA. There was a minor hiccup with our cabin, but they fixed the issue and also gave us a small refund. Great customer service.

We had our grandchildren with us for a getaway weekend. They enjoyed the hiking trail, jump pad and play area. However, the pool was not open during our stay - something to do with chemicals. Our site was gravel with full hookups. It was spacious enough to fit our rig and two vehicles comfortably. All in all, a great weekend!!

Absolutely amazing! A gorgeous facility with so much to do ! A perfect family location, with an extensive play area, putt-putt golf, hayrides and so much more! The on-site restaurant “Smokin Pig” was western themed, with a well rounded menu, delicious food, excellent service and fair prices. The bathhouse facilities were a bit short. Could use more accommodations in that area. All around favor

Not Handicap or Family friendly. The handicap bathrooms were locked. And when asked about it, the manager told me that it was reserved for those who were truly handicapped. She informed me that if a handicap person or a family with multiple children wanted to use the handicap bathroom they could go up to the office during it's hours - 3 tenths of a mile from lower bathrooms and ask for the key.

We stop here once or twice a year on our way east or west from Maryland. The campground is always consistent. It does get a bit muddy when it rains but the sites are long enough for our motorhome and towed vehicle. The grounds are well kept.

Very nice KOA and Melissa at the front desk was so nice and helpful. We would highly recommend this campground. We are an older couple but the playground and pool area looked great for families. They have a dog run for pets and the fire pits were cleaned out for you to use.
