Overnight stay going and coming from Nashville Tn to Topsail island Friendly staff clean facilities and great coffee

We liked it so well we stopped on the return trip. Highway 40 was still there, but we use a fan when sleeping so hardly heard it. It did not interfere with normal talking. We have been to campgrounds where you couldn't hold a normal conversation due to road noise. Not a KOA

The KOA is very nice with a pool … only issue (and it’s huge) is the road (vehicles n trucks) from I-40… it’s constant n extremely loud at night trying to sleep. Because of the road noise, we won’t be back. BTW I even used earplugs

Deluxe cabin is perfect for a visit to Asheville. Loved the fire pit and porch swing and patio chairs. Beds are very comfortable and everything was super clean. Thanks for an awesome stay.

Very clean campground and close enough to town. Took us 25 minutes to walk to the island.

The sites are on a hill, so one side of your 5th wheel is higher than the other. We also have an automatic leveling system, because it was so off, it threw off our automatic leveling system. We leaned all night. Thankfully next campground is level and did a manual reset and system is working fine now. I would not recommend this campground if you have anything bigger than 30 ft. struggled with 40ft

The staff was great. We had a beautiful patio site which unfortunately was right next to the highway. Sleeping was not an issue but sitting by the campfire was constant loud traffic noise. You could see the traffic through the trees. When I received a text asking how my stay was going I answered honestly about the traffic noise and received a rude and passive aggressive response. Not appreciate

One night stop on the way to Myrtle Beach. Clean restrooms with good water pressure and hot water, all sites were fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay at Ashville West KOA. I wish we could have stayed longer. It's a beautiful campground. Very well maintained. It's close to the highway but that didn't bother us at all. Everyone we came into contact with were very friendly. It's in a great location. Close to shopping, restaurants, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Beautiful! We will definitely be back! Thanks to management!

Heather is awesome! She helped us with last minute reservations on Memorial Monday for 2 pull through spots for our large vehicles that were also towing cars. The campground and facilities were super clean and the walking trails with the fairy gardens were cool. It’s a shame we were only there one night

The workers were extremely kind and thoughtful. Communication was the best we’ve experienced. They texted us the day we were to arrive to provide details about our stay. The camp store was very helpful and cute. We could get firewood, ice, breakfast supplies, s’mores fixings cute sweatshirts. Etc.

This is my second time staying here. Very pleased with staff and site. Well maintained campground. Enjoy the trails for walking my dog. Great dog park.

Convenient for an overnight stay. The highway traffic noise is loud in the full hookup area, but having the amenities was worth it. Campground is clean and well maintained. Since we came in late and left early we didn't have much interaction with staff, but the little we did speak and text was excellent. We would stay here again if passing through.

This campground was great! It's an easy drive into Asheville. The grounds are well maintained and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We stayed at the campground for two weeks in our 43 foot 5th wheel and were very comfortable. We rented two deluxe cabins for our adult children to visit and they too were very happy with their stays. The beds were comfortable and the cabins were clean.

Very friendly and clean...dog park is really nice and larger than some. Yes it's off of i40 but they will offer ear plugs etc. But it really wasn't much of a problem for us...

A lot of raid noise, but they tell you that up front. The camp was clean, the staff hard working and friendly! The sites need to be leveled better, but we were able to level using our blocks in our class A. They only have one dog park, and it's over where most of the long terms are ans if you are in the pull through up top its a long walk. They have a nice pool and nice trail around the camp. I'm not sure I would agree with it being called a holiday ( lack of amenities) but a good journey for a 2 day stay.

I was a tad nervous about the noise reading the reviews, but we did not have any issues with the traffic noise. This is a great jump off point to Asheville and close to anything you would need. The facilities were really well kept and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
