The place was great and the staff were super friendly. The location is awesome as it gives you easy access to all the Blue Ridge Parkway offers as well as downtown Asheville.

The Swanannoa KOA is the best campground I have ever been to. We stayed in a cabin and really enjoyed it. Love that there is a lake and a river at this location. Everything is so beautiful there. This was our second stay here and we will be back next year.

I rented a cabin for one night. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The little extras like the k cups and coffee machine, dog bowls and dog treats were very thoughtful and much appreciated. The campground itself was beautiful and well kept and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Incredibly beautiful facility. The grounds were very clean, bathrooms were spotless and the lake views are amazing. The staff is very, very friendly and accommodating. I have no complaints at all and am looking forward to going back. I stayed in a cabin that had both A/C and heat. Including a ceiling fan and mini refrigerator. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

What a great place to stay. Friends met up with me there and we LOVED it. So close to all kinds of places, visited and hiked at Chimney Rock. Our neighbors were great, too. The pond is a plus.

We rented a deluxe cabin for 5 nights. Deck had a broken board sticking up, ( unsafe) this was corrected quickly after I went to the office to complain. Several blinds were broken, gas grill lid had been smashed by a fallen limb. TV in bedroom was faulty, 3 burner stovetop only had 2 working burners, and under the queen bed was very dirty.

The cable was out the whole time we were there:friday thru Monday. Not their fault. But that’s included in the price . 187 a night for a small cabin with half bath, air barely came out! They need to get goft cart charges so people don’t have to return it every night and pick up next day for consecutive days. Waste of money. Yet needed for people who are disabled. Deluxe cabins need RAMPS!

We love coming here. We have been coming ffor about10 years, bringing our young grandson with us. A great place for children - so much to do. We enjoyed our stay this time, as has usually been the case. A beautiful setting. Friendly campers. Most of all, we appreciate the staff who were so friendly and helpful. We were surprised at how often the bathrooms were cleaned. Great time. We will be back!

Great location and scenery but lots of geese poop is a big turn off, especially for dog owners. I have two and they often got messed stepping in it and so did I.

Great stay! Campground was clean and very well laid out. Staff was nice and friendly. The cabin was perfect for what we needed and had everything we needed!

Since there was a management turnover to Corporate the things we liked went away. Price up 25%, Can not chose your favorite cabin/site. No more ice cream socials, Auctions for the care Kids, no more "sidewalk sales", no more bingo, no more disco dancing, no more duck racing (plastic on the river}, No more breakfast in the morning on weekends, etc. It was a nice stay but boring.

Loved the camping cabin on the water with mountain views! Perfect place to stay when visiting the Ashville area. A staff member was also kind enough to let us purchase firewood after the store was closed for the night and they dropped it off at our site! We will be back!

Such a beautiful campground!! My son & niece had fun tubing down the river, swimming in the pool and fishing in the pond. We went on nature walks, relaxed and visited with our family. This was a great place to disconnect & unwind! We will be back �

The Deluxe Cabin was great. All staff treated us well. The problem was with the site. Hwy 70 was just behind the cabin with lots of street noise, and the front view was a parking lot of campers, trailers, and vehicles. This campground does have a couple of Cabins, which allow pets, and have a better setting for future stays. We had family members camping on a good site so we did enjoy the st

It was an okay place. The AC unit & fan in the cabin were very loud (could still hear them through earplugs, probably couldn't have slept at all without earplugs) but it seemed adequately clean and safe. Wifi too slow to work. TV picture quality not great. Floor felt sandy. Thick comfortable mattresses though.

Some very rude staff and one super nice one! This KOA used to be absolutely amazing!! For the last 2 years nothing but downhill!!! So sorry it got sold to people that could care less about family memories. We spent over a thousand dollars between 3 family members and they would not put us close together ALL THREE cabins we ask to change to at check in remained empty the entire time!!!!

I have gone camping every summer when I was younger. By far this was the best camp ground I have stayed in. From things to do in the campground, the views, great sites and things to do near by. Plus everyone in the office was super friendly

Area was beautiful but campsites are way too close together. We stayed in deluxe cabin 1 and were very disappointed that we only had a mini fridge and no cook top. Deluxe cabins that cost the same should absolutely have the same amenities!! We ran out of toilet paper and we’re told we could just buy more at the camp store. Enough toilet paper should be provided for the length of stay.

I stayed at a FHU back in site. Clean campground. The river running through the campground is a great feature. The kids enjoyed the playground and other kid activities. The sites are tight. Decent location and drive to Asheville.
