It was are first time camping at a KOA. Our friends stayed in their camper and we had the deluxe cabin. We weren’t sure what to expect considering cabins aren’t the main focus of the campground. The cabin was very clean, well equipped and every bit as nice as a hotel room. In fact, my wife called it “glampimg”. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Besides not being able to have a camp fire due to restrictions out of your control my family enjoyed their stay and our kids liked all the activities offered to them!

Friendly staff, reacted fast to our questions before the stay and gave recommendations on the area. Our cabin was great with view on the lake, with heater and even a TV. Bathrooms may need an update and you can hear the street.

The check in and out process was smooth and easy. Our camping cabin was clean and ready to go. Also, good location for visiting Biltmore, Blue Ridge Pkwy and hiking.

Location convenient, staff friendly.. Let’s talk bathrooms. Out of 4 men’s washrooms each one had plugged toilets - for 5 days! Washrooms poorly, or not at all.

It is always wonderful. This is the first time I overnighted in Deluxe Cabin 6 when it was so very cold outside. The heater primarily heats a space of several feet right in front of it, but not the whole cabin very well. Wonder if there should be some supplemental heat available?

We were very disappointed in our stay this year. We normally don’t have any problems at this KOA and enjoy our vacation. This time the campground had a lot of kids and teenagers running around out of control, doing things they shouldn’t have been doing. It made us very uncomfortable and scared our dogs. We also had a bike stolen. We didn’t feel safe and won’t go back to this KOA any tim

We had a wonderful stay! There were so many things for us to do as a family and we loved just sitting by the fire enjoying the mountain and lake! The staff is such a joy! Thank you!!!

The campground itself was great. We stayed in a delux cabin but with no cooktop, but a gas grill. The downside is the campground is very near a busy road and busy train track. Our kids loved the nearby playground and we all enjoyed walking by the river and around the lake. If you want some quiet though, pick a site in the back by the lake. The proximity to the noisy traffic is my only complaint.

We had a nice time staying in the cabin, but did miss having a small, foldable table to eat at inside because it was too cold to eat outside. Also, the bed was unnecessarily large and took up space that could have made room for clothes and other items. We did appreciate having hot water and a mini fridge. I would just add that the KOA should be participating in a recycling program.

Wasn’t as clean as I like as I have OCD. Toilet made terrible noise when flushed. Loved the walking trail around the ponds. Didn’t expect the RR tracks right behind our cabin along with busy highway. All in all, a fun time. Music from pavilion for Halloween party was a bit annoying. We will probably stay again sometime.

We were camping with friends and when we discovered our campsites were not very close together like we thought we asked if they could move us to be closer together and they were very accommodating. The facilities were very clean and great Halloween decorations.

Only negative we had about our stay was the bed in the deluxe cabin. The mattress was pretty uncomfortable or maybe just old and needs to be replaced. Otherwise we had a great experience and would definitely come back!

The campground is wonderful. We enjoyed walking around the lakes and along the river with our dog. The view from the cabin was also nice. But, inside the cabin, parts of the blinds were broken, the bathroom fan was very dusty/dirty, the light fixtures over the bed were broken and the floor was very squeaky by the kitchenette. I expected, AT $200.00 A NIGHT, to not not encounter these issues.

The facility is wonderful. The staff where good. The policy to have to pay extra to reserve 2 cabins side by side is very disappointing. Especially since I have already paid for extra for a koa rewards card.

I stayed at a FHU back in site. Clean campground. The river running through the campground is a great feature. The kids enjoyed the playground and other kid activities. The sites are tight. Decent location and drive to Asheville.
