Our stay was nice. Enjoyed fishing, kayaking, walking around the lakes or along side the river. It appears the goose situation has gotten better and hopefully by next year the geese will be gone or very very few. If guests would stop feeding them that would help. Lawn care is better. still wish they’d trim around the lakes/river . Nice staff. lots of activities Not happy with increase pric

We’ve stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. The staff is ALWAYS one point and always courteous.

Goose poop everywhere, rates are to high considering no improvement have been done since KOA corporate took over this campground 3 years ago. I talk with many guest that have been coming here for years and they all feel the same way. Bathrooms need lots of attention, numerous times a day. Camp sites and roads need gravel. On a positive note, the ponds and river keeps me coming back.

Sites “ on top of the hill” were less than desirable. Too far from toilets/bathhouse and dark. Uneven spaces, utilities not located properly, and for RVs, too remote and woodsy. Located next to a trailer park wasn’t very inviting either.

Site area we found unkept not mowed Not level despite fresh gravel that could have been compacted Fresh 50 amp power was not operational on arrival Despite Premium sites available we did not find them open when shopping online Our experience with other KOA like Crossville tn who show sites online likely would drive by rather than stay & despite overall grounds were lovely

Since there was a management turnover to Corporate the things we liked went away. Price up 25%, Can not chose your favorite cabin/site. No more ice cream socials, Auctions for the care Kids, no more "sidewalk sales", no more bingo, no more disco dancing, no more duck racing (plastic on the river}, No more breakfast in the morning on weekends, etc. It was a nice stay but boring.

We have been booking at this KOA for 3-4 years now, we've seen change in mgmt. I will say that this visit was less desirable compared to previous ones. There was a specific employee who was consistently rude, unfriendly toward my child and visibly others. I do understand that you have to keep order, but it was unnecessary. Also areas of the camp didn't seem clean.

We've been RV'ing since 2002 and this is one of the best campgrounds in the KOA family. In addition to appearance, including the river running though it, the grounds are maintained very well. It has a variety of amenities that are especially good for families. Employees are very responsive to camper needs. Huge grounds with lots of mature trees.

The K9 park should be moved away from the kids games. There is just this one K9 park so it makes it hard when you have dogs with anxiety.

It’s has gradually declined in the last few years. When we first started coming and the previous owners had the place it was amazing. There was always stuff and activities for the whole family to be involved with. The price’s continually to rise above other campgrounds. The campsite next to ours was trashy and was a workers campsite. The lakes or rivers aren’t stocked anymore. My

I love the isolated tent area. This weekend there was a large family reunion that for the most part were fine. At night, the noise level, obnoxiously loud music, loud karaoke, loud conversations were over and above what I would consider considerate ( even before 10pm). After 10pm, required calls to KOA overnight staff and was dealt w promptly. Thanks for that. Shame group was loud most of time

First time KOA camper here, and wasn’t sure what to expect, especially as a tent camper. I was thoroughly impressed with everything. Especially with Jenn and doing the crafts for the kids. My child (and I got that matter) has a blast. The front desk staff was amazing. Every time my daughter walked in, they greeted her with such enthusiasm it was one of her favorite places.

We did a one night stay as it was a halfway point on our drive. We arrived after closing and the office staff had our information out and easy to find. Site and amenities were clean and great to have! The property was nice as well.

Rates are to high for what is there campground needs some work bathrooms dirty and people that live there place grass is grown up around there place and trash campground has gone down hill since corporate has taken over

There was a power issue during my stay. My surge protector was compromised but that is the purpose to protect the camper. Once the power was restored, I plugged into power and my frig came on immediately and started smoking from the bottom. I turned it off immediately. Upon inspection at the box my surge protector indicated the neutral open. My frig no longer functional. OW good stay

I think the experience at this park depends on the site you get. Our site was so narrow we couldn’t even put out our awning and we were on top of the neighbor’s sewer. Additionally, we had requested a quiet site and we were backed up to the dog park and ball game (where kids were playing unsupervised after 11:00 pm.) We have stayed at dozens of KOAs and this site really disappointed.

Everything was perfect until we discovered that someone siphoned gas from our RV (5th wheel toy hauler) and left the gas cap off. We noticed as soon as we left because of the gas smell. I know it's not KOA's fault, but still disappointed.

We would come back again. We stayed 3 nights and didn’t really use any amenities except the dog park a couple of times. We would have liked to have had a 50 amp service to be able to keep our camper cooler. The staff was extremely helpful.

I had to change my dates. That was done without issue, but what was no explained to me at the time was they also changed my site. Instead of a spot on the Lake we were across from the pool. It was extremely noisy. I wished they would have gave me a heads up beforehand because that really put a damper on our experience. That was really disappointing.

Loved the camping cabin on the water with mountain views! Perfect place to stay when visiting the Ashville area. A staff member was also kind enough to let us purchase firewood after the store was closed for the night and they dropped it off at our site! We will be back!

Office staff were very friendly, when taken to our site the guy just pointed and drove off. Was placed next to a van camper that looked like it had sat there for a year.

We were on a lakefront site and the views were incredible. The entire campground is well maintained, staff was friendly. It’s also centrally located to so many local attractions. We would love to stay here again.

Office personnel could be better informed about local sites, restaurants, etc. None had even been to the Biltmore or Chimney Rock State Park in order to offer guidance or routing information. KOA should provide some local education for new park personnel.

Such a beautiful campground!! My son & niece had fun tubing down the river, swimming in the pool and fishing in the pond. We went on nature walks, relaxed and visited with our family. This was a great place to disconnect & unwind! We will be back �

This campground is very family friendly and the staff are super nice. There are two things that I have issue with. The campground floods along the roads and many of the sites in the A section. The available Wi-Fi is a total joke. When trapped inside due to rain forget watching a movie. I had to hotspot from my phone to get a decent signal. Other than that it’s an alright spot.

Very overpriced for the site we were at. My neighbor’s sewage hose was right outside my door. Moles have tunneled there also making the area outside my door very uneven. The grass was long and was not trimmed. Goose droppings we’re everywhere. We were so close to our neighbors that it was very uncomfortable. The only positive-the check in staff were pleasant.

The Deluxe Cabin was great. All staff treated us well. The problem was with the site. Hwy 70 was just behind the cabin with lots of street noise, and the front view was a parking lot of campers, trailers, and vehicles. Unable to get a pull through site for our Class A had to back in. We ended up unhooking our vehicle before driving to site to back in, unfortunately it was difficult to find a spot to hook our vehicle back up when we left. The gravel site was unlevel. There were animal feces that had not been removed prior to us getting there. The sites were extremely close together. Train tracks close by.

I stayed at a FHU back in site. Clean campground. The river running through the campground is a great feature. The kids enjoyed the playground and other kid activities. The sites are tight. Decent location and drive to Asheville.
