We had a very nice stay here at Anderson / Lake Hartwell KOA. We had the patio which included patio furniture an umbrella with a BBQ grill. The spaces are spacious, wooded area with a hiking path and the smell of the forest. Lots of things to do for the children although we don't have any with us. I would definitely return.

We had a very pleasant stay on a premium site. People were friendly and helpful. The only fault with the campground in my opinion is the grounds need more maintenance and beautification. Additionally there should be stricter regulations for people on permanent sites to keep them from becoming so trashy.

Came in for move-in week at Clemson. Campground was very clean and quiet. All staff members that we talked to were extremely nice and helpful. Will definitely stay here again!

A great campground with level sites and decent size. The facilities are clean and up to date and staff is friendly. We are repeat guests and will continue to use Hartwell KOA on every visit. THANKS.

We arrived at 9:00pm after hours,dark & in the pouring rain! Could have been a bad start to our 10 day visit! Found our site which was well marked on the map left for us. Our granddaughters 8&4 came and camped with us,I think we used the pool everyday! One of the helpers in delivered our firewood to our site so I did not have to carry it! We will be visiting often! Thanks for a great stay.

This is one of the best KOA's that we have stayed out. The campsite was wooded and level. There was so much for my 3 year old granddaughter to do. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Had a great time. If ever in the area, we will definitely come back!!!

Place is dusty gravel, dated, needing upgrades. Poor wifi and cable tv. Sites should be paved with some grass between sites. Like a lot of older KOAs, this one should be avoided.

Nice park, great wooded trails. Didn’t use any other facilities but the dog parks were nice and the gal at the office store was extra nice. Enjoyed talking with her and she was very knowledgeable.

Very nice, shaded campsite. We were greeted and shown to our site by a very friendly lady. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Several activities including a wooded trail, nice pool with lounging area, frisbee golf Surrounding towns, Pendleton, Anderson, and Clemson offered historic areas, shopping, and dining close by. We would definitely come back.

Fren, was very helpful and friendly. Facilities are clean and orderly. Close to lake boat access, looking forward in staying there again. Very pet friendly a big plus for us.

Small KOA which needs some refurbishment. Office staff was very friendly. Our site did not have much protection from the sun and was right by a major street.

Requested a patio site, the site we had was not. The site next to us WAS a patio site and I was told it was reserved already. The reservation for that site was a ONE NIGHT STAY. It was vacant for 4 of the 5 days. May I suggest for the ONE NIGHT STAYS, put them is the less expensive sites and make more money on the patio sites for persons staying more than 1 night. BAD DECISION on you!!

Our site was nice. Water was off most of Sunday. No trash pickup (the ONLY campsite I've stayed where there is no pickup). There were many, many permanent or semi-permanent residents who seemingly felt entitled. This is only the second KOA I've camped at (the other Charleston/Mt. Pleasant SC) and, honestly, I wasn't impressed with either.

Each staff member was very professional, friendly and answered each question that we had. Bobby was very helpful in helping us extend our stay and went above and beyond what we expected. We enjoyed the camp grounds very much. Everything was clean and well taken care of. I especially liked that there were a lot of trees that provided plenty of shade for the hot summer heat. :)

Stayed for 5 days with grandkids. The KOA is small but convenient for a quick stay. We booked the reservation because We wanted access to the lake. The property is older yet they have added more activities but not relevant ones. A large checker board and golf frisbee across the street. Both were not well planned located to close on the highway a risk for children. Half the KOA is permanent campers

This campground was really nice and clean. We had a wonderful site for our 8 day stay while our son was at Clemson Outdoor Lab for a week long overnight camp. We will definitely be back.

The staff was awesome. I know the campground is an older one and the campsites are older but I do think they could upgrade them a little bit with making the patio area a little bit less dusty with mulch and rock. Also I asked about upgrading to another site and they said they didn't have any available but there was one by us that was empty all weekend I don't know if it was down for maintenance.

This KOA Campground had everything. Several playground areas for children, dog walks, well marked signs throughout the campground, beautiful arrangements near some of the campsites like tables and chairs, benches, wooden rockers, fire pits, covered grills, all on wooden platforms. Well maintained Campground. Swimming pool, put-put, large bouncing platform for children. And all the standard things such as bath houses and laundry room. Office personnel were great and helpful. Supplies in office & Little gift shop. Very impressive Campground and had good occupancy while we were there in March 2024.
