Had a great time at Amarillo KOA. It was incredibly windy while we were there so we didn't spend much time outside. However, the showers were phenomenal, and the camp store was well stocked with a variety of items to be purchased as gifts, groceries and camping supplies. The only unfortunate thing is that they are not able to provide propane despite several signs advertising it was available.

The customer service was exceptional. The train whistle was a nice touch throughout the stay, yes trains travel though this area and are part of the experience. Once you settle in for the evening, they become a distant memory. It is part of the traveling experience. Kampgrounds were clean, facilities clean and the check in process easy. Can't say enough about how friendly the staff was.

We go through Amarillo often while traveling. This is a great overnight stay for us. It’s conveniently close to I-40 but not so close that the interstate noise is a problem.

Nice clean KOA. Security guard went into the office to pick up our reservation and escorted us to our site.

Only one problem: MUCH TOO EXPENSIVE! $67.00 for an overnight with only electric hookup, and no use of showers. Way too much! We will look for a more affordable alternative next trip.

Helpful staff and level sites. We stsy in a 46 ft fifth wheel pulled by f450 dually. Our third time here and would return.

Clean, level, peaceful- near an airport and no plane noise. There are a few trains going by but that is to be expected when you are following Route 66. Nice staff, well stocked store. We would definitely stop again when in Amarillo

Have been coming here since 2012; it’s on our list of glad-to-return places. Helpful, friendly staff, clearly caring about guests’ welfare. And they provided useful info about local food delivery available. Kudos to them for adding a second dog yard, making access to such features easier for owners and pets.

Very welcoming & helpful. Attentive & kind w/regards to enquiries. Incredibly warm & generous! All of the staff were professional, courteous & friendly. Super clean bathrooms. Will stay here every time I come to Amarillo. Best KOA experience compared w/campgrounds in NC, NJ, Montana, & FL.

The staff, Park itself are ok. The location is the only issue. Next to the train tracks, highway and close to the airport. They do have 2 nice dog parks and a nice store. The campground is in the desert so it is quite dusty, I believe the Hosts do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable.

We are on a 15 day cross country trip, this is the ONLY KOA we stayed at longer than one night. Absolutely impressive, cleanest , nicest , accommodating.. our kids had a blast and so did we !!

Clean, relatively quiet despite being located next to airport and train…office was incredibly kind and accommodating, even during busy time of year, since we had coach issues and plans changed day-to-day.

We stayed one night in our camper van. Our space was close to clean bathrooms which is great for us. It is really cute and well maintained but the location is unfortunate. I recommend some noise canceling device since at least three trains blew their horns during the night.it is also close to the airport but the planes did not bother us. I would rate this campground 5 stars except for location.

Very clean and friendly KOA! Staff was incredible. Met us with our packet and the truck window to check in. But the neighborhood is pretty rough and didn’t seem safe.

PERFECT! For what we needed, couldn’t have been better. We arrived just after dark and was still able to check in easily. For our first time staying somewhere with our rv, that was nice! Also, easy to find spot, spot was incredible, everything worked as advertised. We will be back!

Pulled in late afternoon needed a spot for the night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facility was clean and hot water. Site was by the dog run but people were respectful of the fact that we were there. Site was easy to find and love the fact that they let us sleep in our car.
