We were stuck here in an ice storm. Everyone at this campground was very helpful and accommodating. Wish it would have been under better conditions. This is a well taken care of park.

Person at the front desk was very polite. Very knowledgeable. Knew her job very well. The park was very clean. Very easy to maneuver in and out of the park. I would definitely recommend KOA Journey in Abilene.

I enjoyed it alot. Only gripe is something outside ur control. The hotel next door had people playing loud music and partying so it seemed both Friday and Saturday night.

The KOA Abilene is an older KOA, the property was well kept and clean, the restrooms were recently updated and very clean. My experience with the front office at check-in was great very nice gal at the front desk.

This is no longer a KOA, and I was hesitant to stay after reading reviews, but we had an excellent night. Yes, there are mostly long term oil workers staying here, but everyone was friendly. The front dest, the maintenance person and everyone staying at the campground. We would come back.

The wifi was absolutely awful, the campsite was was very uneven. Some residents had a cat that climbed up in my truck and scratched the paint in several places. Over priced for the condition of the park.

You have a problem with the water in site #48?, where we stayed Sunday Jan 15. Looks like the O-rings or valve-stem packing needs replacing, as your faucet leaked all night and made a watery mess.

Campground was ok, noisy from the interstate so close. Got there after the office closed and found my info easily. Office supposed to open at 9am. I went next morning to check-in at 9:15 and office was closed and went back again at 10:15 and it was still closed. Staff was ok but not as nice as all the other koa's we have stayed at. Restrooms were clean.

Enjoyed our overnight stop. Clean and very adequate for our toy hauler and big truck. Pull through are a little tight but manageable. A bit noisy along highway but able to deal with. Good hosts

We're there just one night. Site very level, grounds clean, owner came & introduced himself. Sites also nice & wide.

Very disappointed in our stay. We paid extra for a premium site with a 20' toy hauler and could have stayed in a much cheaper site. The office was closed before we arrived at 5:30 and was closed the whole 2 days we were there. Could not get firewood or any necessities, cable didn't work. The only thing available was the shower house and laundry. Not worth what we paid. Could have stayed at hotel.

. There was wifi provided but no TV. Very disappointed. for 60.00 a night plus tax, was not worth the money. Most expensive campground we stayed at along our route

Arrived after hours. picked a pull through that had no special balconies or sitting areas. Unable to use bathroom since we didn't have code. Went to pay and check out as soon as the Office opened. Was charged more for a special pull through even though the spot had nothing special about it. Other than that the park did look nice. There was 30 amp service and water hookup which we did use.

Nice enough for a night or two, or longer if you don't mind a little highway noise and the occasional sound of a B1B taking off or landing in the distance. The Good: Clean bath/shower rooms with enough pressure and temp for a good hot shower. Nice little playground for the little kids. Nice little dog park for the furry family members. Good sized sites, level and hard pack/paved (we were in a pull thru) and full hookups. Nice laundry room with competitive pricing $3.50 for a wash and dry as of this writing. There's also a little book and "stuff" exchange area in the corner of the laundry room. The staff are friendly and jovial. The Meh: Cell coverage (we have Verizon and ATT with a WeBoost) and wifi coverage is poor to spotty, with the wifi being non-existent further back in campground. Highway noise and the lights from the motel next door are noticeable if you're in the front of the park. If you're planning to stay for a while, ask for a spot in the back of the park. If you need propane, get it prior to arrival as theirs is out of service and has been for at least a couple of months (we stopped here in February and it was out of service then, it's now April)...not sure if they have any plans to bring it back online or not. Overall: The good far outweighs the meh and this is a good stop along I-20 if you need to rest for a spell.

Great campsite! We stayed for one night, everything was ready for us whenever we got there, the bathrooms were extremely clean and heated/air conditioned! The dog park was super clean as well! We choose a pull through site and it was super easy and convenient! Only downfall was the wifi wasn't the best, but we are camping, so.
