Was here just for a night on my way through town. Late check in was straight forward and easy to do. The campground was clean and the spaces were easy to get in and out of. It was very quiet and I got a great night's sleep! I'll definitely stay again the next time I'm in the area!

After spending the last 9 days dry camping in Terlingua, I was looking forward to getting a nice shower. When I checked in, the lady told me that the showers had great water pressure. She wasn't kidding!! The warm water felt so good!! Even though the KOA is right on the service road, we could not hear the traffic at our campsite. Lots of trees blocked all the noise. Thanks for a great stay!!

The park is laid out perfectly; however, there was no water pressure and the electric service failed after an hour. Switched pedestals and it shorted out my fridge. Hard pass on this place. Too many maintenance issues. I wish I could have a refund since I essentially dry camped there.

Facility was nice. Layout of sites offered some privacy in spite of being very close together. Roads were easy to navigate.

Bright lights from building right behind the campground. Could have stayed at Walmart and would have been more comfortable. Worst ever.

This was a nice KOA. There were lots of lights from the motel next door so had to carefully close curtains and blinds. This KOA was nicer than most KOA Journey RV parks. We would stay here again.

Very nice, a bit noisy because of proximity to freeway freeway. Derrick was very helpful and friendly. A nice place to stay.

The best part of our stay was Derrick- so helpful and kind. The sewer connection was cracked and not repaired properly. The site was very tight and we had guide wires at our door.

Friendly accommadating staff. Clean restrooms and bath house. Parcel pavement, pull thru site are level with full hook up. I had to extend my stay and there was no problem with that. Would I stay there again ? Yes.

Denise in the office was very helpful when our friend had problems with his membership. Great place for a couple nights . Check out the Frontier Texas exhibit at the visitor center ..

Great location, plenty of space, nice people, my only complaint was the dust. I would stay here again if I was in the area. Abilene itself is a bit rundown, lagging behind in urban development.

We couldn’t even stay here. We arrived and the mosquitos were so bad you would get swarmed when you got out of your vehicle. They need to spray for mosquitos at this campground. We started to set up and then just left instead it was so bad. We have never had to do that at any other campground

This is a lovely little KOA. We stayed here two days had the large patio site. The site was level. All staff members were very kind and friendly. We will definitely come back here and stay again.

Nice enough for a night or two, or longer if you don't mind a little highway noise and the occasional sound of a B1B taking off or landing in the distance. The Good: Clean bath/shower rooms with enough pressure and temp for a good hot shower. Nice little playground for the little kids. Nice little dog park for the furry family members. Good sized sites, level and hard pack/paved (we were in a pull thru) and full hookups. Nice laundry room with competitive pricing $3.50 for a wash and dry as of this writing. There's also a little book and "stuff" exchange area in the corner of the laundry room. The staff are friendly and jovial. The Meh: Cell coverage (we have Verizon and ATT with a WeBoost) and wifi coverage is poor to spotty, with the wifi being non-existent further back in campground. Highway noise and the lights from the motel next door are noticeable if you're in the front of the park. If you're planning to stay for a while, ask for a spot in the back of the park. If you need propane, get it prior to arrival as theirs is out of service and has been for at least a couple of months (we stopped here in February and it was out of service then, it's now April)...not sure if they have any plans to bring it back online or not. Overall: The good far outweighs the meh and this is a good stop along I-20 if you need to rest for a spell.

Great campsite! We stayed for one night, everything was ready for us whenever we got there, the bathrooms were extremely clean and heated/air conditioned! The dog park was super clean as well! We choose a pull through site and it was super easy and convenient! Only downfall was the wifi wasn't the best, but we are camping, so.
