We highly do not recommend this campground, Right next to the HWY and Super Loud . Sites are very tight and face each other. Female help during checking in was difficult. She was busy on the phones and couldn’t help them with directions. She didn’t know the name of the Hwy outside her front door. She was unaware of how to book sites for the size of your RV and was bothered that she had to book

WiFi was good the first time I stayed here. However, on this stay the WiFi was very weak and not very usable. Another growing issue with this park is that it allows a large number of full-time residents. Overall the park is clean and given the other choices in Abilene this is probably the best choice

We love this KOA! It's so clean and our pups love the little dog area at the front! The staff was very friendly! We decided to stay another night, on a holiday weekend, and they were able to accommodate us no problem! Our daughter plays travel softball and we have quite a few tournaments in Abilene throughout the year, this is definitely where we will be staying!

We had two couples traveling together. one had a motorhome and one couple had a 5th wheel. We enjoyed our stay at the Abilene KOA Journey RV park. We'll look forward to another visit down the road.

Very nice, quiet park. A little bit of freeway noise during the day but much less at night. Nice shady spaces with plenty of room, and friendly staff. This us a somewhat rustic park, and that is what we like best. YMMV

Wonderful staff. Only complaint is with other campers that don’t pick up after their dogs-shame on them (on the dog trail NOT in the park) park is clean.

1st night was fun in a hailstorm, was able to see the eclipse of the moon and I met a loving little cat I wanted to bring home ,maybe they can send him to me. It's the little black and white guy.. Thank Bill

Another very nice park, my only complaint would be that there was no AC in the laundry room and the day we were there it was about 105°. I couldn't stay in there while my clothes washed and dried so I had to walk back and forth thru the sweltering heat to the RV but I lived and it wasn't the worst experience I've ever had.

We stayed May 6-8. The campground is very well kept and so peaceful. It’s open so the kids can explore and not worry about traffic and you can still see them. We will definitely be staying there when we go back to Abilene.

The staff is great, the shop closes early, and the quarter machine was broken for laundry. The washers and dryers worked well. The showers were clean enough though located far from almost all the RV parking. Trash pickup was convenient and the playground was fun for our kids.

Your sites are kept clean and pleasant. Sites are level and ample space for parking. Restaurants are close by and entertainment of all types are just short drives away.

Nice enough for a night or two, or longer if you don't mind a little highway noise and the occasional sound of a B1B taking off or landing in the distance. The Good: Clean bath/shower rooms with enough pressure and temp for a good hot shower. Nice little playground for the little kids. Nice little dog park for the furry family members. Good sized sites, level and hard pack/paved (we were in a pull thru) and full hookups. Nice laundry room with competitive pricing $3.50 for a wash and dry as of this writing. There's also a little book and "stuff" exchange area in the corner of the laundry room. The staff are friendly and jovial. The Meh: Cell coverage (we have Verizon and ATT with a WeBoost) and wifi coverage is poor to spotty, with the wifi being non-existent further back in campground. Highway noise and the lights from the motel next door are noticeable if you're in the front of the park. If you're planning to stay for a while, ask for a spot in the back of the park. If you need propane, get it prior to arrival as theirs is out of service and has been for at least a couple of months (we stopped here in February and it was out of service then, it's now April)...not sure if they have any plans to bring it back online or not. Overall: The good far outweighs the meh and this is a good stop along I-20 if you need to rest for a spell.

Great campsite! We stayed for one night, everything was ready for us whenever we got there, the bathrooms were extremely clean and heated/air conditioned! The dog park was super clean as well! We choose a pull through site and it was super easy and convenient! Only downfall was the wifi wasn't the best, but we are camping, so.
