From Murphy, NC and points West: Drive east on US Hwy. 74, watch for mile marker 24. 3/10 mile past mile marker 24 turn RIGHT onto Happy Valley Road.
From Asheville/Bryson City/Andrews, NC and points East: Drive west on US Hwys. 19/74, watch for mile marker 25. 7/10 miles past mile marker 25 turn LEFT onto Happy Valley Rd.
I-75 Southbound from Points North of Cleveland, TN: Exit #25 (Route 60 East): Exit Rte. 60 at Hwy. 64/74 East. Continue into NC and follow directions above continuing on Hwy. 74 just past mile marker 24.

Also 1 mile from the Campground is the new UltraStar Entertainment Center. UltraStar features 12 bowling lanes, a redemption arcade, billiards, and a full restaurant. It's nice.

One of the 'bucket list' rides for motorcycle enthusiasts. Only 30 minutes from the Campground and a beautiful ride just getting there. A perfect loop through the Dragons Tail, into Tennessee, and back to the Campground. Great rides up to Wayah and Brasstown Bald or down to Helen, GA.
The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and The Great Smoky Mountain Railway are both a 45 minute drive from the Murphy KOA. The BRSR is in the "Antique Capital" of Georgia, Blue Ridge. Enjoy the ride along the beautiful Toccia River in climate controlled or open air cabins.
The GSMR winds through two tunnels and 25 bridges through the majestic Nantahala Forest. Travel along the Little Tennessee and the Nantahala River on your way to Fontana Lake. Full and partial day trips are available for both Trains and be sure to visit their websites for more information.
