Deadwood KOAMeet Your Hosts Steve and Kathie Ice, along with partner Patti Miller, were looking to escape from the rat race when they purchased the Deadwood KOA in 1995. "We all did it for a change of lifestyle, and to improve our mental health," says Kathie. At the time, Steve and Patti were executive administrators for one of America's largest savings and loan institutions and Kathie was a homemaker. "Now, we just love to treat campers as guests in our home, and to treat them as we want to be treated," she said.
