Reflecting on several years of pleasurable camping experiences, Kevin and Lisa McRae decided it would be fun to run a campground. Once they started the wheels in motion, their dream quickly became a reality.

"We love the world of camping," Lisa said. They were ready for a lifestyle change, and have settled into the Miles City KOA after purchasing it in March 2005. They especially enjoy the interaction with people that camping offers, and they look forward to meeting campers from different parts of the country and the world.

They place a premium on providing a special level service to their customers, creating a campground and friendly atmosphere that customers will want to return to and enjoy. They've been busy working on renovations, painting and trimming trees, sprucing up the campground and giving it an inviting appearance. "It's a pretty campground," Lisa noted. It has many trees, and a dike runs across to the nearby Tongue River, which flows into the Yellowstone River just 1/8 of a mile away.

Kevin and Lisa look forward to continuing the KOA tradition, greeting guests and offering a clean and welcoming campground. They camped for years, moving from a tent to a pop-up to a fifth wheel. They have three grown children who opted to remain in Missouri. The couple moved from Kansas City, Missouri, where Kevin was a computer programmer for 25 years, and Lisa was an administrative assistant and then a software tester.

The couple enjoys bike riding, being outdoors and spending time with their two dogs. Lisa, who is originally from a small town in Iowa, has enjoyed returning to a smaller community.
