The name of the small restaurant at the West Liberty KOA-Mom's Kitchen-says it all. The food is homemade, and the hours? "When Mom wakes up, we are open; when Mom goes to bed, we are closed," says the staff. This friendly "make-yourself-at-home" attitude prevails throughout the campground, owned by the same extended family for more than 20 years. With easy access to I-80, all RV sites are pull thrus with gravel parking pads. The West Liberty KOA also has tent sites, Kamping Kabins and a meeting room for groups. Kick back at the pool and volleyball court. A large grassy expanse is perfect for football, soccer or Frisbee. Area attractions include the Herbert Hoover Museum, car racing, riverboat gambling, the Amana Colonies and the University of Iowa. Limited winter services available.
