David and Deborah

The campground industry is a perfect fit for David and Deborah who love to welcome their guests and provide them with a great vacation. It is a natural for them to do this work together and they do enjoy it immensely.

Their 35 acres are nestled in the foothills of the San Juan Mountains in southwest Colorado just outside the town of Ouray. The awesome scenery creates a special ambience with the sounds of a flowing creek and vistas of the majestic San Juan Mountains. You can rent a Jeep for exploring Silverton, Telluride and old ghost towns, or take a guided tour for a relaxing day with an experienced and knowledgeable guide.

Don't miss the summer weekends at Ouray KOA's own "Kreekside Kafe" for a taste of David's very own Texas Mesquite style smoked BBQ with a fiddling Blue Grass band.

David has owned this campground for over 20 years. He is an experienced land surveyer, Realtor and engineer and conducted his businesses in Texas until his endeavors in Colorado. Deborah owned and operated a health and wellness center where she practiced as a physical therapist, trainer and teacher in Georgia for several years before meeting David.

Together, their number one goal is to take good care of people who are on vacation and help them to enjoy it to its fullest. They take their winters off and plan for the following camp season to constantly improve and see how they can create an even more enjoyable stay for their campers.

David and Deborah love to explore the country during their time away, visiting historical sites, factories, talking to people and experimenting with new food and recipes. They practice yoga, ride their Harley, play golf and have a strong spiritual life. They have fun in most everything they do. Work and play give them equal satisfaction, and their goal is to live well and enjoy all facets of life.
