Trout 'n' Tomato


Makes 4

  • 1/4  c  chopped green pepper
  • 1/4  c  chopped onion
  • 2  Tbsp  butter or margarine
  • 1  can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's Chicken Gumbo Soup
  • 1  can (11 oz.) Campbell's Tomato Bisque Soup
  • 1  tsp  lemon juice
  • dash  pepper
  • 2  pound(s)  fresh trout, cleaned
  • cooked rice or toast


In skillet, cook green pepper and onion in butter until tender. Blend in soups, lemon juice and pepper. Add fish. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover. Cook 15 minutes or until done. Stir occasionally, spooning sauce over fish. Serve over rice.
