Presto Minestrone


  • 1/2  pound(s)  ground beef
  • 1  tsp  salt
  • 1/2  c  chopped onion
  • 1  jar (15 1/2 ounce) spaghetti sauce
  • 1  can small red beans (drained)
  • 4  carrots (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2  c  celery
  • 1/2  package (10 ounce) frozen green beans
  • 1 1/2  c  cabbage (coarsely chopped)
  • 1/3  c  water


In large saucepan or Dutch oven, sauté ground beef, onion and celery. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, covered for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Makes 2 quarts. This soup is as tasty as it is quick. The spaghetti sauce really saves work.
