Mushroom Steakburger


  • 1  pound(s)  ground chuck
  • 1  4 ounce can mushrooms
  • 1/4  c  red onion
  • 1/4  c  green bell pepper
  • 1  egg
  • 1/4-1/2  c  olive oil
  • 1  Tbsp  seasoning salt
  • 1  tsp  paprika
  • 1/4  tsp  celery salt or powder


Combine Flour, Seasoning Salt, Paprika, Celery Salt and set aside. Dice mushrooms, onion, and pepper. Combine the ground chuck, egg, onion, peppers and ½ the mushrooms. Form into ½ pound patties, and coat with flour mixture (Get a good thick coating on these). Cook in olive oil over medium heat. Use pan drippings and remaining diced mushrooms to make brown gravy to pour over steakburgers. Serve with your favorite type of potato (mashed, baked), salad, vegetable, and of course rolls.
