Moist Chocolate Brownies

A great dessert recipe for your next camping trip from the experts at KOA.


  • 1  c  butter or margarine
  • 8  squares Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
  • 5  eggs
  • 3  c  sugar
  • 1  Tbsp  vanilla
  • 1 1/2  c  flour
  • 1 1/2  c  chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 2/3  c  semi-sweet chocolate chunks


In large saucepan melt chocolate and butter over very low heat, stirring constantly. Let mixture cool completely, then add sugar, eggs and vanilla and beat well on high speed with an electric hand mixer until creamy. Add half the flour and mix until blended, then add the remaining flour and mix thoroughly. Stir in nuts and chocolate chunks, and spread into a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.

Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes - do not over bake. Cool before cutting.
